Just returned from the Lido ( 20th March ) and believe it or not it's even better second time around. The staff are so helpful and friendly ( all of them ) you are not allowed to lift a finger. We spent most of our time at the rooftop pool , our room was on the same level , 10 metres from the pool with a superb view of Naama bay from our balcony. The pool bar is excellent as is the beach bar which we used for a change of scenery, there is also a bar to relax in at night overlooking the bay with large comfortable sofas and chillout music. The rooms were spotless and sheets and towels changed everyday, bed was queen size. Naama bay can be pretty hectic, after a couple of beers in town, the Lido is the perfect retreat. Most of the guests at this hotel are repeat visitors, if you try it you'll know why, we've already booked for October 08. Photographs attached.

“not the biggest but one of the best”

third time lucky on visit to sharm el-sheikh, this hotel was first class from start to finish. located next to the namma bay centre it is 5mins walk to the centre only steps are down from the hotel (but their is a lift) no taxi's needed and no busy roads to cross.

the hotel only has sixty rooms, we stayed b/b thou you can upgrade on arrival or as we did just pay for a meal on the night £11each (buffet style) very good selection of meat, seafood, pizza and pasta as well as salads etc. very good value.

we spent the fortnight on the roof with the heated pool (at times it was like going in the bath) sunbeds easy to find with shades what you will find is the wind, but this is welcome when weather hitting 26/27 in late feb/early march. the lads around the pool are top notch nothing is a bother the paper seller will sell you papers (a couple of days old) internet is expensive (£4) much cheaper in the centre 50 pence for 30 mins) all rooms have mini bars only £1 can of pop but shop across the road 30pence you can still use the fridge to place the mini bar contents to one side.

the rooms are cleaned every day with fresh towels, the towel art is fantistic from the swans to the flowers all staff first class.

nammi bay has some great resturants kanabesh, pommodoe at the camel bar, but best of all dannuers up the steps next to drinkes shop first class food at very good prices seabass with prawns £4.50 (english price) lamb chunk (leg of lamb) £5.

as for drinks the camel bar, tavern bar for all english football, pacha nightclub hard rock cafe and bus stop bar. couple of bars on the sea front happy hours next to the movenpick.

better rate on your money over in Eygpt ,also now sell english cigarettes in the duty free (airport) £12 english pounds for 200

The best hotel we've ever stayed at. The rooms, staff, views, pool etc etc all faultless. Nothing is too much trouble. If we visit Egypt again we'd definately stay again.

“Fabulous Hotel ! Loved it and the staff too!”

I and my daughter have just come back from a week at the Lido, which we absolutley loved!
Definitely ask for a room that does not over look the disco, we had a lovely one, overlooking the quay and could watch all the boats in the morning.
The hotel is just as it says, it is small and therefore everybody gets to know you! However having a pretty 23 yearold blonde daughter certainly helped!
Card Tricks!
Emad at the Pool Bar is fabulous and nothing is too much trouble, get him to show you his card and toothpick tricks, they are pretty good!
This is a great hotel all round, and the housekeeper and his
towel art is amazing, our crocdile wearing my glasses was fabulous!
The location is great too, especially for 2 women who did want to be bothered with taxi's etc to get into naama bay in the evening, we could simply walk in and felt 100% safe all times. This was great for shopping, lots of retail therapy !
There is not a lot going on in the hotel in the evenings,. so I would not recommend it if you are looking for evening entertainments, we did not want any so it was great, Once you have seen Dave Gee's act on Saturday, there is NO POINT seeing it again on Tuesday, as it is exactly the same, jokes, and songs, all over again and even in the same order! However, the dancing and other entertainment after him is different and quite good fun! The men enjoyed the belly dancers!

Do look for the fish in the evening off the bear bar jetty, they are fab, and we even say a sting ray in the bay at night, enjoying the peace and quiet.
This is a super little charming hotel and you can make as much out of it or as little, the choice is yours. I wish I was there now!

“The best location, great food”

Iberotel Lido

Stayed at Lido 15-22 febr on halfboard, very good breakfast, lunch and dinnerbuffets, especially the sallads and desserts were delicious, different kind of food every day, fish, meat, chicken, pasta, pizzas made on order etc. First time for us in Egypt and we were positivly surprised. Almost all the staff was very friendly and serviceminded, The man in the reception daytime was not that charming though. A little bit hard to get a chair on pooldeck, people get there early in the mornning with their towels, some of them didn´t turn up until the afternoon. But there are many different places to choose from for sunbathing, small beacharea and the deck beside the beachbar. We prefered the beach. Almost everything was firtsclass, but the rooms were average but had a lovely seaview from the balcony. If we go ther again we would definitly choose this hotel!
