I believe this hotel is trying a scam against holidaymakers. We had paid to stay in a room overlooking the gardens but were put in a room overlooking some bins and cars. When we complained they claimed there were no rooms left and we would have to come back tomorrow which we did first thing. We were given a room that overlooked the gardens and we had to pay for the privilege. During our stay we met three other couples who had to pay for this 'upgrade' same as us.
However, once we moved our room was excellent and the hotel had everything we wanted. You can go down to the sea and go in off one of the four piers where there is some good snorkelling. The hotel has a large area so there are numerous places to sunbathe with some great isolated quiet spots down by the sea and a lot of places closer to the hotel and pool as it is a long walk from the sea back to the main building. There are some great restaurants and our favourites were the Lebanese and Dolphins although we tried the main buffet one night in Palmiers and that was very poor so I would avoid that and wouldn't advise taking half board here. Food is cheap in Egypt but alcohol is expensive, but in the hotel from 5pm there is one bar every hour that is on happy hour which has all drinks at 50%.
All the staff are extremely polite and it was very relaxing at this hotel, a wonderful break.
If travelling into Na'ama bay I would take the hotel minibus to come back because if you take a taxi that will cause real problems and overcharging.
