I was reallyworied about going to the crowne plaza last year, after reading some awful reviews on here!!! Dont listen people!!!! Its great....
the food on all inclusive wasnt amazing to be fair, but we only stayed B&B which i would def recommend wherever u stay in sharm as restaurants r so cheap!!!... staff are brill, rooms r cleaned everyday, pools always clean and beach was good....another good point is, the greenery around the hotel was de-mosquitoed every night with a huge spray!!! so no nasty bites!!!

Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!! Will hopefully be returning with friends this year....

The hotel itself was clean,tidy with beautiful seanery...however the staff were unfriendly and the food was dreadful!!! we stayed as a allinclusive..which was missleading because you only got to eat at one restaurant (canteen!) all of the other 4 resturants you have to pay which was very expensive!! i.e.£6.50 for burger and fries.Also childrens ice-cream wasnot free untill 1pm which was slosh! however you could buy there own ice-cream for 1.50 per scoop! how ridiculous!! All drinks were served warm,flat and never refridgerated.
The service was awful you were not allowed to get your own drinks..and had to wait 40mins to get drinks.Not good value for money.
BEAWARE!!!

My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks on B&B basis.
I was so shocked as we arrived, it was absolutely gorgeous.I have never stayed anywhere so posh and beautiful.
Rooms- were huge and very clean
Pool-several pools all very clean with gorgeous veiws. the only downside was you need to get there early to get a bed.
Beach- it wasnt really a beach, more like sun beds on different levels of the cliff side. This didnt bother us as it was very pretty, there were steps down to the sea where all the fish swam around you.
Food- we only had breakfast included but again it was great. There was so much choice, hot and cold including a hold plate where they cooked things fresh for you inlcuding omlettes. you will not be stuck for choice

There was plenty of places to eat out which inlcuded local food and american diners. Food is very cheap and so are the taxis.drinks are expensive unless you get the local stuff

First of all, I have stayed in sharm , 4 previous times, the sheraton, movenpick, grand Rotana, and the hyatt.the crowne plaza is only A 3 or 3.5, star hotel ,regardless of what any tour opperator says, We stayed here on B/B basis.thanks be to God.
The good points, the staff are very friendly,and will help you much as possible,with a few tips, the Itilian resturant is good,so is the lebanese, and the( c view) bar and resturant is top class.
The bad points,Unless you have a Crowne club room, you might not be totally a happy holiday maker,rooms are nice, but not a 5 star nice.Now this is the big problem,when we stayed, the hotel was full and there were not enough sunbeds for all,I mean down at the so called beach it was like a cattle market,The only way I can describe this is (It was A dormiatory on a cliff over looking the sea)There were so many people standing on the little jetty,trying to get into the water and trying to get out from the water,It was like a re enactment,of the (TITANIC GOING DOWN) WE actually seen a row between two women over sunbeds,this is not 5 Star standard. If your going all inclusive your in for a big surprise,Because the evening buffet can only be described as ( The Armageddon of all buffets) JESUS CHRIST I HAVE NEVER WITNESSED ANY THING LIKE THIS,about 400 Russians trying to get fed,It beggars belief, AND THEN THE OTHER PROBLEM (THE RUSSIANS) please note I am not a racist,and all the russian people cannot be tared with the same brush, (BUT WHEN IT COMES FEEDING TIME???????).
In my honest opnion this hotel has lost all it standards (to profits)
it has to be the biggest Butlins in sharm,If your looking for a romantic break ,or an anniversary ect, you could be divorced on the way home
