“Nightmare at Best!!!”

I really hate to write a poor review about a hotel, but here goes.
Please heed the poor reviews on this hotel. Where to start....the elevators are very slow. It took us 15 minutes on average to get into one of the working elevators. Once we arrived on our floor, we were greeted with the smell of old cheese mixed with socks. The room was not much better. The windows had some type of condensation on them, so you could barely see out. The bathroom floor was dirty and moldy, the tub and shower had a mix of mold and rust. There were black hairs all over the bottom of the toilet, and I can't even begin to explain what the stains were on the curtains. For the money we spent $205.00 we were better off staying at a casino. I would definitely forgo the misadventure of staying at this hotel and stay somewhere else. We’ll see what happens when they renovate, I know I will never go back.

“Excellent food in Scribbles cafe”

Holiday Inn Atlantic City Boardwalk

During my two-night stay, I ate breakfast both days in Scribbles. I can honestly say that the food was top notch--delicious, fresh, and served by a competent and cordial waitress.

The room was quiet and clean, although I do think this Holiday Inn needs to work on their elevators. They can be slow. The beds were very comfortable.

Overall, I think this hotel is fine for those who want a safe place to stay, but don't need the glitz and glamour of an expensive casino hotel.

It is really terrible. There are bugs in the rooms. The carpet is disgusting also. The restaurant was closed when we stayed there. What a horribe experience.

“Needs alot of work”

A positive of this hotel is that it is located right on the boardwalk and close to great casinos, food and shopping. A positive about the room is that the bed was comfortable.

But other than that, I have nothing positive to say about this hotel.
As we were standing in line to check in, the woman in front of us was asking to be assigned to a third room. The first was too dirty and the second had a bathroom where a previous guest had thrown up in and no one had cleaned it up.

After hesitantly checking in, we got into an elevator that wouldn't move. We informed the staff, but they seemed to know and not care. This elevator would not work our entire stay. The other elevators would stop at floors even though there was no one there. Staff was also aware of this problem.

Our room was average. Like I said before the bed was comfortable, but we were just glad to have a room that didn't have major problems like the ones we had heard about. I had to get my husband to help with the shower. The water wouldn't leave the faucet and go up to the shower head. I had a trinkle of water to wash my hair in.

If you are desparate and have no other option, this hotel will do. But the hotel owner seems in no hurry to fix the problms in this hotel or work on keeping it clean.

“Don't stay here!”

My wife and I stay here for just 2 days at the end of July. I had originally booked for 6 days, but my wife found the other reviews on Tripadvisor and we changed to a wonderful B&B in Cape May for the other 4 days.

Nearly everything adverse mentioned in the other reviews was true. The hotel is run down, smells and many facilities were inoperative, including the normal dining facilities. Everything said that the hotel is in urgent need of a major refurbishment.

We had breakfast outside the Hotel - at a local juice bar - even though the breakfast was included in the price, because it all looked so tatty, unhygienic and unhealthy.

Don't stay there, if you can avoid it.
