We were given a "handicapped" room on the 3rd floor. There was no walk in shower as promised. It's hard to step in a bathtub from a wheelchair. I asked the management if they had a room with a walk in shower. They transferred us to a room on the first floor. I went to the 3rd floor with my son to start moving our things. The elevator doors would not open. We rang the bell and yelled for help, no response. It went to the 2nd floor. The doors would still not open. The doors opened on the first floor, We saw a man come in and told him that the elevator did not work, take the other one. He said "We know". Turns out he was the maintenance man. An "Out of order" sign would have been nice. They never put one up. We moved our things to the room, which was occupied by the maintenance man eating his lunch. He couldn't understand why we were given "his lunch room" The room had the same bathroom as the one on the 3rd floor, a tub with handles, no walk in shower. The hotel has no truly handicapped rooms. Hotwire got us this hotel for $55 night. We saved a whopping $4 per night from Ramada's rate. I'm originally from Atlantic City and turned down the offer to stay with relatives. Not the next time!
