“Went From 95% Great to 100% Great”

Caesars Atlantic City

As you can probably tell, I was the writer of a previous review titled 95% great. We stayed in the temple tower north on this trip and were very comfortable. The room was very clean and and all the components worked fine. The only glitch we had was no hot water on the morning of checkout. I called to report it and we had the hotel plumber there to fix the problem in less than 5 minutes. A nice warm shower felt good. Again, everyone from the valets, bellmen, front desk and housekeeping were extremely friendly and helpful. My last review panned the buffet but this time it was completely the opposite. The food was tasty, tender and well worth the price. Our gratitude goes out to Rosanna who saw to our arrangements and the entire staff who made it a pleasure to dine there. We had my brother and his wife with us on this trip and they echoed our opinions. They stated that they also will return in the future. As an aside, the corned beef and cabbage at the Trinity Pub was great also. We did not return home with pockets bulging with money but had a wonderful trip and a relaxing stay. Thanks to all at Caesars.

“Not Treated Very Well”

Several years ago my wife and I stayed at Caesars in Las Vegas and had a good experience, so I tried the same in Atlantic City. When I drove into the parking deck at Caesars A.C. we drove all the way to the top but there was no parking. We could see on the other side of the deck there were lots of blank spaces, but there were signs saying valet parking only. So we drove to the check in and had a valet park the car.

We checked in with a miserible desk clerk, she acted as if we were bothering her by checking in. We paid 325.00 per night for the two nights, so I thought we would get a good room. We were place in a small room over looking the lobby. The band placed every night until 2 am. so we could not sleep until after 2 am.

Then in the morning when we looked for a place to gamble it was tight slots. (My wife lost 10 dollars of quarters in eight minutes, no winning at at.) No tables were open until after 7 pm. So we walked down to the Taj Mahal.

With all of the other competition, we will probably not be staying at Caesars again.

Great place to stay, the room was excellent. The food was great. Staff went out of there way. Didn't win, but still had a good time. The boardwalk was interesting with lots of thing to see and take in.

“Stay Away from the Temple Towers”

Just a quick note to those planning to stay at Caesar's....do NOT book in the Temple Towers. You cannot control the temperature in the room, only the fan. As 3 women in their 50's travelling together, that is something we cannot abide! Plus, their construction project started at 7am! We got 3 free breakfasts, but we still should have been forewarned about the construction!

Made a short trip this time around to AC and just stayed one (Sunday) night; picking Caesars this time around out from the various Harrah's properties. As a Platinum member, I was comped for my stay in the Centurian Tower. With it being Sunday and the fact that I had arrived at 1:00 pm and knowing the Saturday crowd were leaving, I suspected I'd have to wait for my room after checking in; so got my room at 4:30 pm. Very nice bright, pleasant hallway (huge difference from their Temple Tower), nice clean room, large bathroom with great showerhead and large, soft towels, and bath accessories. BTW, you can control the Heat/AC in the Centurian; the unit's panel on the wall has a small door you can flip open by pressing the top of it inward with your fingers to reach the controls. Decided to do dinner at Philips in the Pier Shops across from Ceasars; food and service was good but far overpriced and the place is hyped up too much for what you get on your plate. Monday, I walked off the boardwalk out to White House Sub shop to grab me an Italian Special to take home later. AC still has a certain bit of charm about it, even with it's oldish look. Though AC has that "Bumish" look, I think if your cautious and keep an open eye, nobody bothers you; sometimes you even run into people that out of the blue will talk to you (a stranger) and make you chuckle. Beware of the hefty Nuisance/Disgraceful Tax (a NJ? or Local AC? tax) on your Room and Meals which is in addition to the NJ Sales Tax...seems both taxes account for 1/4+ of your costs...which is a bit of a turnoff (considering the casino competition in DE/PA/WVA/CT and Las Vegas)...especially if AC wants to draw visitors/players into town. Vegas takes much more pride in the Casino/Hotel service sector and it's food than AC; if AC polished up it's act, AC would be a far greater place to play/hang/do business with...because as I said, it still has that old world/tradition-like charm about it (I'm coming back for 4 Comped NTS over the Weekend in July).
