Some aspects of this hotel are excellent others average.

The apartments themselves are excellent, spacious and clean. We stayed in a two bedroom classic and had partial sea views/marina and overlooked one of the building sites.

The Azur restaurant was very good, excellent service/food and reasonably priced.

It would be difficult to find this hotel if you asked for the Harbour Hotel - even the large sign outside calls it the Emirates Marina so be worth printing off the map and show to Taxi drivers.

The hotel is surrounded by building work, however I found this quite fascinating and did not interrupt our sleep etc.

There are some nice restaurants etc around the Marina which is a very short walk away.

I believe the hotel was full for the first time since opening when we visited and therefore we encountered problems, as follows:-

- breakfast service was very disorganised, no one seeming to know which tables they were serving etc
- there is not separate service lift and therefore you could wait for some time to get a lift, bearing in mind there are 52 floors
- the hotel have an agreement with Le Royal Meridien, however this is only for a limited number and on a couple of occasions we could not get a pass to visit, would therefore suggest that you get a pass the day before.
- turndown service was very hit and miss, received this twice out of the 5 nights stayed and on the last night bell rang at 10.45 pm

Overall this hotel has a lot to offer and I would stay their again if visiting Dubai.

(Also the Hotel has been given 4* which seems low until you see the Grosvenor/LRM and they are truly 5*)

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. We are a family of four, two adults and two kids. We had asked for a two bedroom suite and we found ourselves in a 3 bedroom 3 and a half bath suite, with living room, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, maid's room (that we didn't use) and washer and dryer! And all for the same price. It was absolutely the greatest surprise. I could stay there forever!
The view of the marina is stupendous, and the spa is great. We walked to the marina every night and had dinner at a different place every time.
The hotel staff was very helpful and the apartment was maintained very clean.
The hotel is not located on the beach, but they have a shuttle bus that takes you there. I really loved going out in the evenings, because we walked everywhere we wanted. There is also a super market on the marina, and we had our supplies for breakfast or snack, especially for the kids this is very helpful.
The only flaw, is that this hotel has been renamed recently, it used to be called Emirates Marina and at our arrival there, the taxi driver didn't know the hotel, and in the middle of the night he was stopping to ask for directions and nobody knew it. In the end, we called the hotel and the reception told him where it was. After that, everytime we took a taxi, we just asked to be taken to the Marina (since noone knew the hotel) and once there we showed them the entrance.
I definitely recommend this place.

Located in the Marina area, this property was formerly called Emirates Marina hotel and it would have been impossible for the Taxi driver to find it by its new name (harbour hotel) if I hadn't printed out a map with its location.

The Hotel itself is relatively new, probably less than one year old. The restaurant on the top floor is not even built out yet. It is located on the Marina so it has excellent views of the skyline, the marina, and the water.

Room was incredible. It is a 1400 square foot condominium with high end construction. There were 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. Living room, Dining, HUGE kitchen with full appliances, Washer/Dryer combo machine, and 2 balconies. There were Plasma TVs in the master and living room. Room was brand new so no complaints. However the glass on the exterior of the building was quite dirty. Had it been clean, it would have been a more impressive view.

Location is nice with short distances to Al Burj Hotel, Wild Wadi water park, The Jumeira Palm island (which is still being completed including the Atlantis resort) and Emirates Mall (Home of Ski Dubai). There is a building with a Spinneys supermarket and with 4-5 nice restaurants right behind the hotel. It was nice to be able to pick up supplies/groceries (especially with such a big kitchen at our disposal) There is a huge amount of construction going on in the area with no less than 30 high rises being built simultaneously in a quarter mile area with about 100+ cranes visible.

Good value compared to other hotels. Price is the same but you get 1400 square feet as compared to a 200 square foot room.

We had a fabulous 2 nights at this Hotel. The rooms are gigantic (We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment). There is a massive lounge, 2 widescreen flat tvs, gorgeous views. L'occotaine products in bathroom. The restaurants are amazing, they can't do enough for you. Fresh, impressive food, coffee etc. We dined at Azzure and the food was out of this world. Presented with a 'Gift from the chef' (Up and coming Heston); Prawn Ravioli where the 'pasta' was made from 100% prawn, no pasta involved! Saffron Brulee and Rose sorbet presented like we had never seen before and the tastes were incredible. We felt excellent value for money in Dubai (Although not so easy on the pocket if you are not coming on the pound). We cannot imagine what the new top restaurant they are building could be liked. It's focus is on molecular cooking; ie gnocci that liquifies when you put it in your mouth...

The spa is fabulous, wish we had time for a treatment. Concierge and service faultless. We took the shuttle to the Royal Meridien to enjoy the pools, which was nice. The pool at HHR is nice but not luxurious like the rest of it.

If you want to stay on the Marina this hotel is brand new and I think the service is much more personal than Le Royal Meridien. It is more affordable too. You also earn skywards points if you are with Emirates.
