“Amazing”

We have just returned and like other reviews cannot fault any part of the hotel. Service was amazing. We also were at the gold club and would definitely recommend it. The pool was amazing, as was the beach - sea so warm, great activities at hotel also, but not over the top, eg volly ball, badminton tournaments.

We were not put off by construction work at all, we can't wait to go back - and we probably will next year to this hotel!

“A Quiet Retreat ~ Fabulous Boutique Style Hotel”

The Palace at One & Only Royal Mirage

We stayed here for 4 nights before moving on to Mina A Salam.

The hotel is immaculate, the grounds of the hotel are simply perfect. The pool is enormous, yet because the hotel is quite small in comparison to others in the areas, it never appears busy with guests. A lovely touch is the moment you arrive at the pool side 2 glasses of bottled water are provided and these are continually topped up by the pool guys.......this saves you a fortune in bottled water prices. The pool bar is gorgeous and the salads were perfect for lighter lunches. The staff in the hotel are fantastic they go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.

The breakfast buffet is in Olives Restaurant which is quite twee, but offers the normal 5* range of breakfast. We ate here twice on an evening and the buffet was good, nothing to get excited about, we were half board (unexpected as we didn't realise that this was in on the price, so it was a nice suprise) if you did not want the buffet then you could have a credit of 145 Dhs to spend in any other al a carte restaurant. We went to the seafood restaurant at the beachside one night and this was outstanding.

The hotel lacks somewhere to drink on an evening (in our opinion) and the only place was in the hotel lobby or the outside Arabic cafe (a bit too hot to sit out, although they did have fans on circulating the hot air).

The rooms are comfortable, they don't blow you away with oppulance which some other hotels have, but nevertheless they are spacious and clean. Nice range of toiletries (Gilchrist & Soammes).

The beach of this hotel is very close to the work of the Palm but it is not intrusive, we never heard any construction work at all during our stay. In fact it is quite interesting to have a wander down to see the extent of the work going on.

This hotel is a bit more exclusive so if you want privacy then this may be the hotel for you. We prefer a few more options than this hotel offered and when we moved to the Mina A Salam for the second leg of the holiday we got exactly what we wanted.

It isn't somewhere we will go back to, but we definately enjoyed the stay, the relaxation and peacefulness of the hotel. 4 days was plenty for us.

From arrival to departure this was the best vacation imaginable
From the sound of the gong the experience is far beyond your expectations.A must is an upgrade to the gold club, which is only a small charge. This gets you afternoon tea ,unlimited soft drinks and ,spirits cocktails between 6 and 8 so if your careful and book your tables for 8.30 you can arrive moderately happy!!!We ate at eau zone ,nina ,moroccan and celebreties which are all fanatstic and if your on half board you can choose of any menu and get the credit off !!The lamb in celebrities is fantastic the best!!
We visited the burj al arab restaurant on the 27th floor one night and had a very nice meal try to avoid ordering champagne or wine it works out at £200-£300 per bottle. The palace sent us across in one of theyre limo's nice touch!!
The pools are all fantastic and the adult one like having your own private pool!!
We had a lot of footballers staying whilst we where theyre which also indicates the standard of this hotel!!!
A fanatstic place we will be returning again and dont be put off by the building work its barely noticeable unless you walk onto the beach

“Lovely Hotel”

The Palace at One & Only Royal Mirage

We stopped at the Royal Mirage for 3 nights on our way back from the Maldives.

The hotel is fabulous definitely worth its 5 stars. The pool and hotel are very beautiful. The hotel is at the base of the palm (being built out to sea) so there isn’t much of a view out to sea. There is a lot of building work going on, so be warned. It didn’t put us off.

We arrived at the hotel very early morning about 7am and although we were knew the check in time was expected to be 2pm we actually got our room by 9am which was great as we’d travelled through the night.

The room was spacious and extremely clean and tidy, it was cleaned twice a day.

We booked the sundowner safari, which is a must. A jeep picks you up from the hotel about 4pm and you spend in the evening in the desert. The jeep takes you up and down the sand dunes, followed by your evening meal in a camp in the middle of the desert. You also get the chance to ride camels and watch belly dancing or even take part!!

We ate in the Olive restaurant on both other nights; we can choose between the buffet or from the menu, both very nice and reasonable price. There is a lot of choice of where to eat, but as we were only there 3 nights, we didn’t get chance to try the other.
I would definitely recommend afternoon tea in the lobby, scones and clotted cream – yum
We really loved Dubai and can’t wait to visit again.
