The hotel is quite nice, as would be expected for a Grand Hyatt. Had a room with a harbor view but probably better views can be had on the Kowloon side looking at Central. Service was most excellent (maybe the best I've had in Asia). Only complaint (besides the price) was that there were not enough outlets in the rooms. I could only find one after much searching (under the desk) and finally another one in a closet near the desk (a few days later). Not enough outlets for the modern road warrior (e.g., charge the laptop or BlackBerry, but not both at the same time until all the outlets were located).

Also, the hotel bar JJ's was hopping. Most happening hotel bar I've been at in a while in Asia.

I was a bit underwhelmed by the hotel. The rooms are relatively small and the furniture and furnishings are modern but a bit bland. For the price of the accommodation there was no real wow factor for me.

The lobby areas are nice and classy but for my taste there is too much black marble. In fact it is difficult to tell where one step starts and one step ends as the backness just merges.

The service, however, was fine and the staff very friendly. The beds are extremely comfortable and the buffet breakfast is excellent.

I prefer to stay on Hong Kong Island compared to Kowloon and also like this position. But I have previously stayed at the Renaissance next door which I much prefer.

Public areas too bling for me - lacking in taste - rather like the Trump Tower in NYC....The Champagne Bar is a much classier part of the building and prices are not too horrendous. The rooms are more expensive than the Renaissance next door (and with which it shares outdoor facilities). Given the Renaissance is going through a revamp - it might be catching up.

Great location and views of the Harbour.

The Grand Hyatt Hong Kong achieved a milestone in totally shattering my expectations.

I have stayed on property in the past and my reviews were mixed. In the past I found the staff to be a bit detached and the service lacking.

The recent return, I quickly noticed what must have been a total reorganization of leadership. From the very first moment to the last, the service, attention and quality of stay very substantially enhanced.

Location on HKI is excellent for the sites as well as the majority of business and convention events, being located adjacent to the convention center.

Easy access to the Airport Express, taxi services, short walk if desired to Star Ferry and outer island ferry terminal as well. Kowloon across Victoria Harbor which is always a very entertaining journey.

The Hyatt is truly an excellent experience surely I will enjoy again.
