I've stayed at the Langham Hotel several times during trips to Hong Kong. The location isn't bad if you like shopping at Boutiques or can afford to blow tons of money on name brands. It's also right across the street from the famous "No. 1 Peking Road" which used to be "Park N' Shop" about 20 years ago. I do like how it is a little off the main streets which are filled with malls so you can get away from the large crowds of shoppers.

The only hard part is crossing the street because you have to go down a somewhat confusing underpass to cross the street. There's a Pizza Hut and McDonald's across the street for kids and budget eating.

The rooms are also relatively large considering how limited space is in Hong Kong. Like all other hotels in Hong Kong, your hotel window outlooks another building which makes the room rather dark despite having a large window.

The only thing I don't like about the hotel is the increasing number of Chinese tourists. I can understand the lobby can be busy at times but I wish they wouldn't let guests pack and unpack there because it makes walking about quite hard. Another thing I noticed is that the Front Desk Staff are increasingly becoming less fluent in English so I was forced to dish out my poor bits and pieces of Chinese to ask for a wake up call, etc.

I traveled with two girlfriends and all of us stayed in the same room and we still have room for walk around. That was wonderful for Hong Kong hotel. Great service and the location was great. Shops and dinings are all around. I will go back for sure.

Just in case you did not realise this - the Langham Hotel is a different category to the Langham Place Hotel. The former is a tired 3+ star tourist property, low rise from the 1980s or thereabouts. The Langham Place Hotel on the other hand is a modern 5 star business and tourism hotel directly above the Mong Kok subway station.

Interestingly, the two properties are similiarly priced so make sure to check this out.

This is one of the absolute best hotels I've ever had the joy to visit!

I traveled to Hong Kong on a holiday with my family and we stayed at the Langham Hotel in Kowloon for three nights on each end of a beach holiday in Vietnam.

The Langham has the feel of a grand old dame, but features all the mod cons. It was very comfortable, even with a rollaway bed in the room for our little girl.

The best feature, though, is the staff. They are wonderful, without exception. The concierge staff, in particular, were consistently above and beyond anything one could have expected. Case in point, we arrived late at night from Vietnam having accidentally left my daughter's favourite stuffed animal on the plane. We did everything we could at the airport to retrieve it, but no luck. Upon arriving at the hotel at midnight, the concierge staff took it upon themselves to find that toy and pulled out all the stops. The toy never was found, but their effort was extraordinary.

The food at the Langham is fantastic. Their higher-end restaurant, The Bostonian, was wonderful. They also have a NY deli-style bistro with some of the best sandwiches and deserts we've ever had.

Stay at the Langham. You won't be disappointed.
