“Not a great stay”

Centre Point Langsuan

2 of 5 stars
Tel Aviv, Israel
May 7, 2008

Stayed 4 nights in May. Booked through Latestays.com for upgrade to 85-sq.m 1-bedroom Appt.
The appartment is big: 1 living room with Sofa bed, kitchen, 1 bedroom a nd 1 WC/bath/shower.
The size is big, but everything is outdated, the impression of old.
2 TVs is nice. We stayed on the 8-th floor, the views are not good as from the 25-th floor, I guess?..
Breakfast is OK. Best coffee in the trip.
We were 4 persons, but the stuff put only 2 towels sets in the bathroom. Even we have booked the room for all of us, they put only 2 towels. Others-EXTRA MONEY. Extra bed sheet-EXTRA MONEY. Only 2 small water bottles for 4 people.
1 kid is free for stay, but without towel and bed sheets. We book this appt. because of Sofa in living room ( what's mean-no extra bed needed ). No, they think different.
We were asked to pay an extra cost for 3-years kid. They want 600 bath for nothing. No extra bed, no towel, no breafast.
Every place we have stayed in Thai was free for 3-years kid, not here!
The stuff is divided in 2: portier and security is nice people, but the rest of the stuff are RUDE. I have seen no such a rude stuff in all my Asia trips. Never in no place.
Stay away.
The location is OK, 10 min. walk to Chit Lom BTS Station. Not to much restaurants and no shops on the street, you should go some 15-20 minutes.

“Great value for money”

Centre Point Langsuan

5 of 5 stars
Islamabad, Pakistan
Feb 5, 2008

I stayed at this property for 3 nights after the end of a business conference. When booking, I was hung up in deciding between this place, cape house and marriott serviced apartments. Thankfully, I chose Centre point and the experience has been great.

This property is located on Langsuan road which is right next to the chitlom BTS station (walk of around 10 minutes or a couple of minutes by hotel tuk tuk). Once you get to the station, all of the shopping attractions are within walking distance on the overhead walkway i.e. Amarin, gaysorn, central world etc. The only downside is that langsuan road is a one way road which is a blessing if you are walking places but cab drivers have to take a longer route (depending on where you are coming from).
There is a 24 hour seven eleven about a minutes walk away and there is a shop within hotel premises stocking the necessary supplies (Closes at 10).

I chose a studio since I was by myself and it was very spacious with a very well laid out kitchen. The room was very clean and had all of the needed amenities.

I was on the 19th floor and the balcony offered some good views of the Bangkok skyline. Room service food is good and the restaurant is above average. The staff is friendly and the service is timely and professional.

Will definitely stay here the next time I am in Bangkok.

“Great Extended Stay Option in Bangkok”

Centre Point Langsuan

5 of 5 stars
Prospect, Kentucky
Dec 6, 2007

This is a very affordable and centrally located property in the financial sector of Bangkok that I highly recommend. My wife and I stayed at the Langsuan branch with another friend for several nights, in one of its two-bedroom suites. The service was first rate, the complimentary breakfast was excellent, the location was convenient (with a personal tuk-tuk into the shopping centers and metro station, and directly across from a grocery store/pharmacy), the amenities were great, and the room itself was spacious.

I am very conservative in rating properties on Tripadvisor, but I can truly find nothing wrong and everything right with Centre Point. Looking back on my stay, I am completely satisfied. My wife and I debated using our Marriott or Hilton points to stay at a more-upscale hotel in Bangkok, but having ventured to one Marriott property for dinner at the New York Steakhouse (which was excellent), we are very, very happy with our decision.

Highly recommend.

“As good as we remembered”

Centre Point Langsuan

We returned to the Centre Point after having been away since 2005 (see previous review). It was as good as we remembered. A new addition is the private tuk-tuk which can shuttle you to the Chitlom Skytrain station - a nice amenity we used after my wife hurt her leg slightly after a fall in a market area.

I'd rate the Centre Point as 4-1/2 stars. It's not quite as nice as the Plaza Athenne, or the JW Marriott - at least the facility and the breakfast are not quite as nice as those hotels. However, they are quite good, as is the staff attention.

The Centre Point is better than the Holiday Inn we stayed at in 2003, and friends of ours say it's better than the Chateau de Bangkok.

Overall, I still highly recommend it. We will return.

“Great serviced apartment”

Centre Point Langsuan

4/4 found this review helpful

On arrival the room was set if we where about to have a Kings banquet, a great first impression!!!

Great serviced aparment, ideal for my family. Large spacious comfortable apartment (2 bedroom). Yes and they still offer free broadband.

BTS station is only a short walk away, Centre Point now offers a took took service that drops you off at the station, also where Central Shopping Mall is located, a mall that you can happily spend hours in and very many Bahts in. The walk back to the hotel is very short with many restaurants on the way, this can often end a great day by popping in on the way back.

Buffet breakfast was fantastic, plenty of choice, from pancakes, fresh fruit, dim sum, cereal & juk (chinese porridge).

The road where these apartments are located has a wide varity of street vendors offering very cheap snacks, these must be tried but watch out the dips are very hot but amazing.

Staff at the hotel are very friendly and attentive, the only problem we had was poor AC in one of the bedrooms, fixed within 20mins and a full engineers report left, to make aure that it was fixed to my satisfaction.

Our room was on the 18th floor and offered great views over the city, I would definitely stay here again. Ideal for our 3 day stop in Bangkok.
