OK there's an occasional train whistle in the morning and at night - but it's not all night and day plus not like the movies where you're shaken from one side of the room to the other. My wife is a very light sleeper and hardly noticed the trains which were only short commuter trains. We stayed 7/8 to 7/13 and didn't do Disney but had my daughter's FCCLA conference at the Convention Center across the street from Disney. I looked and read about all the hotels in the area and found the TownPlace Suites the best value - it really was! My daughter was booked by her school into the Hilton for over twice the price and she appreciated our hotel much better than hers. So yeah, the hotel was newly renovated - they did a nice job! Nothing like a new, clean place to stay with a very nice hotel staff. Free parking, newspaper @ your door, free internet and quiet - nothing like those hotels close to Disney. No hotel restaurant or free continental breakfast but hey you have a full kitchen in your room and fast food in the same vicinity. The Angels play outside your window and you can even see the home of the NHL Stanely Cup Champion Anahiem Ducks too! We were very pleased and would stay again. "Trip Advisor" was a valuable tool for us!

“Close to Disneyland..much nicer location trains really aren't that bad...”

The Hotel was a pleasure to stay in. Our stay was from the 24th of June through the 30th 2007. Yes, they had a remodel going on, but we were on the 4th floor which had already been completed. The room was very, very nice and clean. As for the trains, we only heard them around 6 a.m. really wasn't that loud at all. They sound the horn once or twice going through the intersection. I never heard them between midnite and 6 a.m. If you go, take a portable fan with you, set it on the night stand or floor, and that blocks out any noise they may make. Also, ask for a room away from states college blvd. The traffic at night was worse than any train. We asked to be moved our 2nd day to the courtyard side of the building, we were moved and the rest of our stay was very quiet. The staff was very pleasant. The Disneyland shuttle was excellent and always on time. The room was very nice..full refrigerator, dishwasher, and full stove/oven. We will definately stay there again. No breakfast buffet, but with a kitchen, we didn't need it. Albertsons 1 mile down the road.

“It's okay...if you love trains...!”

Friendly staff, free parking and shuttle to Disneyland were GREAT! Full size fridge, stove, and a small microwave were nice! Plates, bowls, spoons, etc, were provided. Only need to buy some groceries (Albertson's is about a mile away).

But with that said..., the room had sticky floors, & was a semi-clean room. Renovations were going on. Carpet installers were right outside our door. Very, very noisy! And there are train tracks behind the hotel (not on website or mentioned when reserving room). The train comes by on the 1/2 hour, day & night blowing it's horn to worn motorists. It woke me up a couple of nights.

Very small pool area. Pleasing to kids...but, not big enough for the average adult size swimmer.

Overall it is okay IF you don't plan to spend much time in your room. We have in the past stayed at much better Marriott hotels then this one...!! It wasn't bad...but, it wasn't that great either...!! It didn't feel like a "Marriott hotel".

We stayed at the TownePlace Suites Anaheim for one night in April. It was a very nice room for the price. The kitchen was well appointed. The only downside was the temperature control in the living room controlled both the bedroom and living room. I will definitely stay there again. In fact, I tried to book a room there next month and there were no rooms available.

My husband, adult son, teenage daughter and myself stayed in a two bedroom suite for a long week-end at Disneyland. We loved it. You are away from all of the people, but have all conveniences close by. The shuttle was very convenient and we had no troubles with it. We really enjoyed the privacy you get with the two bedrooms. We will stay here again.
