“Great Family Accommodation near Disneyland”

Islander Inn and Suites

4 of 5 stars
Sydney Australia
May 11, 2008

I needed accommodation for 2 Adults and 2 teenagers ( 16 & 15)
As the kids would not share a bed I found it very difficult to find a place that had at least 3 beds in the one room. A two bedroom place was not in our budget. After great research found the Anaheim Islander Inn & suites had a "KIDS ROOM". This had two
double beds and a bunk bed. This was great. The room was also bigger than the normal room. The Islander also had a pool and laundry facilities. It was in walking distance to Disneyland and restaurants. Breakfast was available in the foyer of the office each morning but there was not much choice. We had breakfast at Subway. A coffee making machine was in the room but it was a pity that a jug or kettle was not available to be able to make a cup of tea. Asked for a jug from the office and they did not even have one I could borrow.

The main thing was that the sleeping accommodation was great, the room comfortable and cleaned each day.

“Great Value & Great Location”

Islander Inn and Suites

4 of 5 stars
Dumbarton, Scotland
May 9, 2008

My sister and I have just arrived back from our stay at the Islander and I can't say enough good things about it. We were travelling on a budget and chose the Islander for this reason. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble. They helped us book trips and were always there to answer questions.

The rooms were very large as were the beds. The inclusion of a microwave & fridge were a great help. The rooms were cleaned every day and the towels were white and plentiful.

Across the road on the right from the hotel were lots of amenities, a 711 amoung them and on the right 5 large restaurants including the Cheesecake Factory and McCormick & Schmidts.

The shuttle bus for Disneyland picked you up at the front of the Islander and it is the 1st pick up point you always get a seat and the 1st drop off on the way home.

Thank you Islander for helping us have a fantastic holiday

“Second Year at the Islander!”

Islander Inn and Suites

5 of 5 stars
Massachusetts
Apr 29, 2008

2008 was our second year staying at the Islander, and we will certainly be back again next year. I cannot say enough good things about the Islander: big, comfortable beds, clean rooms, bright and clean bathrooms, a nice pool, and a short walk (really!) from the Disney parks. The rates for the rooms are superb for the location, and the staff has always gone above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We will never stay anywhere else but the Islander when we come to Anaheim, and I recommend it without hesitation.

“Kind & Clean”

Islander Inn and Suites

5 of 5 stars
New York
Apr 29, 2008

A friend & I have stayed at the Islander two years in a row. It is just a quick walk from Disney with wildly reasonable rates for the Anaheim/SoCal area. Every employee we've encountered has been incredibly kind and the rooms are always spotless (something regular travelers can treasure). Room service is efficient & unobtrusive. This year we had to cut our stay short by a day, and the owner of the Islander was gracious enough to refund us for one night's stay -- something he most certainly was not obligated to do. We will most certainly be regulars at the Islander as time progresses, because this one has been a diamond in the motel rough.

“this place is okay”

Islander Inn and Suites

Mar 28, 2008

We stayed at the Anaheim Islander during a spring break trip to Disneyland. It had the same dirty carpets that you can find throughout Anaheim. My husband's hypothesis is that people pick up grease on their shoes at Disneyland. The room met our needs (two queen beds for us and our two children). It's hard being on a second floor with no elevator. I did like the microwave and fridge in room. We never checked out the continental breakfast because we prefer to make our own cereal in our room. Oh, bring quarters for the ice machine! I had never seen an ice machine at a hotel that charged.

There are new restaraunts within a block of the hotel (California Pizza Kitchen, PF Changs, and Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.) making hotels on Katella more desireable than they once were.

    • Liked — Proximity to Disney
