“OK Motel”

Best Western Pavilions

We stayed here because our travel package included the airfares from New Zealand and 4 nights stay at an Anaheim Hotel close to Disneyland. We were booked at this hotel because the other option available to us, the Howard Johnson, was already fully booked.

Upon check-in the staff were friendly and efficient. The room was clean and appeared a little dated even though Best Western have carried a recent upgrade. There is free wireless internet, or you can use the public PC in reception for free for 30 min (I think). AC unit is old is old and noisy but necessary if it gets too hot (reached 93 F on day we checked out). Denny's is next door and Coco's is down the road. Both are good choices. Another option is all you can eat buffet at Captain Kidd's on Harbor Blvd opposite Disneyland entrance - cheap and just edible. parking is in the Best Western car park adjacent to it.

Not too far to walk to Disneyland (about 15 minutes with a shortcut through the Grand Californian Hotel). There is a shuttle bus just near the front of the hotel, departing every 20 min or so. Cost is $3pp one way unless you buy the ART passes from reception. You can buy a 4 day return pass for $8pp.

The hotel is a good value. The place is nicely landscaped, and the pool is great, and it also has a hot tub. It's in walking distance to Disneyland, so you can save on parking.
The room was average for a hotel in this price range, and kept very clean. What was nice is that it had a small bathroom window which we were able to leave open when we left during the day, so the room had fresh air. (I hate hotels that have that stale closed up air). We were on the second floor, and parking was easy.
Desk staff was also friendly.

Staff very helpful. Room not luxurious, but adequate. Good beds. Allowed to park there until midnight of checkout day. Great rates if you shop around a little. Highly recommend.

My son and I stayed at the Best Western Pavilions for 5 days in November. I expected an economy style hotel but was pleasantly surprised by the size and comfort of the room. The decor was lovely and the beds comfortable. We enjoyed the convenience of catching the shuttle every 20 minutes right at the street. The staff was amazingly considerate and accommodating. Overall, an excellent value and just far enough from the busyness of the area to be very quiet and restful at the end of a busy travel or park day.

Four of us stayed for three nights in a room away from the strret and on the 1st floor. The room and motel were fine. No guest laundry but we could use the one at the BW stovall inn on the next block. It takes 25 minutes to walk to the ticket booth at Disneyland.
