Very poorly maintained hotel. Also not really within walking distance to Disney as advertised. I am sure you can get better hotels for the price.

Business serviceMy family of 5 stayed at the Stovall's Inn for 8 nights from April 6-14. For a family of 5 who is there to see Disneyland, it was good. Your really there to sleep.....that's it!
The staff was always friendly. The view of the fireworks at night was perfect. And of course with 3 kids, the 2 pools and 2 hot tubs were great.
The free breakfast can and does get busy, so be there early. The only negative is there did seem to be a lack of hot water for showers.
It was a 15-20 minute walk with our kids aged 10, 8, and 6. We walked everyday with no problem.
Bottom line....it's clean and the staff were friendly. Understand this folks, it's no 4 star, probably not even a 3 star. I would stay here again; no problem!
My family stayed in the Best Western Stovall for my older daughter's Middle School Band trip to Disneyland. My daughter was in a group of approximately 50 kids, along with some adult chaperones, who stayed at this hotel. We were at the hotel for 3 nights.
Positives:
Walking distance (20 Minutes) to Disney
Room was clean
Helpful and polite front desk staff
Nice towels in bathroom, newer tile in bathroom.
Small fridge and microwave in room
Hairdryer in room
Negatives:
Facility is old and...well...ugly.
Bathroom had newer tile, but appeared to still have the old, original window and sheetrock. Why didn't they renovate the entire bathroom instead of only the tile? Also, our bathroom had no fan or ventilation.
Complimentary continental breakfast is subpar. Unless you want to eat cold cereal out of a tiny styrofoam bowl, don't bother. The muffins were of poor quality. The coffee was very weak. We did take advantage of the fresh fruit that was offered, though. We ended up eating breakfast at Disney 2 of the 3 mornings were were in Anaheim.
All in all, this hotel was fine for a large bunch of 13 year olds traveling with a school group on the cheap. Would I book it again for a family vacation? No. For a few dollars more a night I would go elsewhere.

Business serviceMy wife and I hadn't been to Disneyland since we were kids and our children had never been (ages 11, 13) . Upon our arrival my first impression was that the staff was over welmed by the 3 families checking in at the same time as we all got off the same bus after a 1 1/2 hour bus trip from LAX. As we found out over our 8 night stay only a couple of the front desk staff seemed to have difficulty in dealing with customers as the were very abrupt and failed to make eye contact when being spoken to or speaking themselves. The night shift front desk, all cleaning staff, grounds keepers and security staff were all very friendly and approachable. The rooms are small and NO frills, 1971 style A/C very noisey, walls and ajoining room doors are thin, bathroom small, beds good, T.V. old, cleanliness good, pools and hot tubs great for the kids after a long day. Tons of other hotels in the area, would certainly check out others next time. And remember that when a hotel states they are only blocks from Disneyland that the block surounding Disneyland are about a mile long..seems like it anyways, lots of shuttle buses but you must ask about them, a taxi to Disneyland main gate will cost you less than $7.00, well worth it in the heat!

Business serviceHad to stay here because I was travelling with a group of people. It was the noisiest motel I ever stayed in. The air conditioner is loud, the walls are thin and you can hear everyone walking on the landing outside the doors. The room apeared clean but I don't think it was because I got itchy bumps on my ankels that looked like bites that went away after I left there. Coincidence? maybe. The bathroom was gross. the tub is peeling, there is black mold on ceiling, dirt in the corners and tiny orange bugs crawling on the toilet. The front desk staff was very nice and accomodating. The kids enjoyed the pool area and it seemed clean. I was disappointed that they charge 69 cents a minute to use their computer though. That seems a little ridiculous to me. It isn't that close to the park either. about a 15 minute walk and with tired kids at night it isn't fun. I would stay on s. harbor blvd next time, the hotels were alot closer.
