“Wait until renovations are complete- no good vibrations here!”

WAIT UNTIL RENOVATIONS ARE COMPLETE before booking into this hotel. Was first assigned a room on the 11th floor, 1 floor below the renovations which started at 7:30 a.m.! When asked for a change to a quieter room, was switched to 5th floor, which was one of the renovated rooms, but could still hear the pounding from the renovations on the 10th floor. The still unrenovated hotel rooms on floors 10-13 DESPERATELY need the updating, especially the lighting and plumbing (the toilet-I kid you not--whistled when flushed) and the lobby needs to be redesigned to allow some natural CA sunlight in, but Hilton should not be booking guests into this noisy and gloomy hotel until renovations are complete. The staff are not friendly or helpful; received no assistance when switching room, and waited 10-15 minutes in check-in line at a weird make-shift series of florescent lighted stands. And then there were the maids with their children chattering away loudly in the hallway at 8 a.m. After two nights, I switched to another hotel. One of the worst hotel experiences I ever had. In California-speak, this place has a really bad vibe. Stay away.

“Great Hotel”

Hilton Anaheim

Jul 2, 2008

My stay at the Hilton over Mothers Day was perfect! I used Priceline to book, so I got the room for less than half the price. I called to confirm my reservation and add my Hilton Honors #, although I don’t get points for my stay, I do get perks. They gave me a wonderful suite on the Honors floor. I asked for a firework view, and it was honestly the best view of the Disneyland Fireworks I have ever had. I have lived in Southern California my whole life and been to Disneyland 100+ times! The park is very easy to walk to from the hotel, the sidewalk that is between the hotel and the convention center ends at the parking lot to Disney, you just have to enter the lot and hop on the tram. When I go to Disneyland, this is definitely my favorite place to stay.

“Hilton Very Near Disneyland”

Hilton Anaheim

5 of 5 stars
San Francisco, CA

I was more than pleasantly surprised at the convenience of this hotel to Disneyland. I normally stay at the Grand California for just this reason but my brother-in-law had other ideas.
For one fee, we took the Anaheim shuttle service to and from Disneyland which was amazingly convenient.
Check in was very easy and make sure you upgrade to the buffet breakfast. It beats starving children in Disneyland or paying the ridiculous prices in the park. The pool is heated and if you're really nice they'll upgrade you to a park view with a perfect view of the fireworks in Disnelyand.
I definitely recommend this hotel for not only the convenience to disneyland but the price--only $170 a night and that includes 2 adult buffet break and kids eat free!
This will be my new Anaheim hotel whether we go to Disneyland or not.

“My first Hilton Visit”

Hilton Anaheim

5 of 5 stars
California
Jul 2, 2008

My first visit to a Hilton hotel was an experience that was above and beyond my expectations. I stayed at the Hilton Anaheim which is located within walking distance to Disneyland and California Adventure. My room was very clean and the view of Disneyland was great especially when the fireworks show took place. The room was very quiet, with a queen size bed, nice size TV, a desk with wireless internet access, and a wicker sofa. There was plenty of dresser drawer storage and a full size mirrored closet door.

I was there for a seminar and it was nice to know that if I didn't want to I didn't have to leave the hotel. There was a UPS store which I utilized to pick up some office supplies. Starbucks was also at the hotel so I was able to get my caffeine fix. I noticed that there was a bar and at least one restaurant on the main floor and on the lower level a fitness center, an indoor basketball court, a gift shop and a spa. On the level where the pool was located there was a grill and a bar and when my seminar let out for lunch the pool side grill was a great escape from the crowd. The Hilton Anaheim also had a convention center where the seminar I attended was held. From what I could tell there were several large banquet/ballrooms available. The restrooms on the convention center level were clean, spacious and very well maintained. The hotel appeared to be doing some renovations but the overall appearance was first class. The employees were very friendly and I was treated like family.

Thank you for making my weekend stay so enjoyable. I hated to leave when checkout time rolled around. The next time I’m in town I will definitely revisit the Hilton Anaheim.

“Probably stay somewhere else next time...”

I recently took a trip to Anaheim to go to Disneyland and to a Dodger game. I decided to bid on priceline to see what type of hotel I would get. I ended up bidding $55.00 per night and got the Anaheim Hilton which was going for $150.00 per night on Hiltons website. When I checked in I asked if we could get one of the newer rooms and the rude girl at the front desk said that there were quite a few newer rooms available, but we would have to pay an extra $50.00 per night. I said that was ridiculous and just took the regular room. We went up to the room and noticed that they were soooo out-dated!! From the carpet to the TV and the bathroom they were definitely due for some remodeling. Even though they were very old rooms, they were clean which was a good thing. I didn’t like that parking was $15.00 per day for self-park. I would probably stay here again once all the rooms are renovated, but I still prefer the Disneyland Hotel or the Anaheim Marriott, which is right next door to the Hilton. I am just happy that I didn’t pay full price for this room!

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on the hotel. We are looking forward to being able to offer each and every guest one of our renovated rooms very soon.
Please understand that all of our rooms will be renovated by December of 2008. At that time, we will no longer have to reserve our renovated rooms for guests paying non-discounted rates (vs. your $55 rate through Priceline). Please visit us again in the coming months as a "new" Hilton Anaheim emerges, complete with a renovated lobby, fitness center, spa and dining outlets.

Best regards,
Andy Keown
