We booked the Borrego Luxury Suite for our 5 night stay in Anaheim. We were looking for a hotel with large rooms to accomodate our family of five, within walking distance to Disneyland, a nice pool, pay movies, free parking, free breakfast, and a fitness room with a decent treadmill. The hotel had all of these things but there are a few details I want to mention. The fitness room doesn't open until 9:00 am, so if you are an early-morning exerciser as I am, you may want to consider another hotel. The breakfast included sausage, hashbrowns, scambled eggs, donuts, toast, cereal, yogurt, cottage cheese, and a few fresh fruit options. The breakfast staff were outstanding. They had a clean table with a high chair ready for our family as soon as we walked through the door and wiped and cleared our table any time we had the slightest spill. (which is a lot when you have 3 little boys under the age of 5) The pay movies were not like in other hotels (such as Marriott) with a large selection of movies still in theatres, there were only 4 movies to choose from and you order them over the phone with your credit card. The hotel is very close to Disneyland and also within walking distance to some very good family-friendly restuarants like the Cheesecake Factory, PF Changs, California Pizza Kitchen, and Bubba Gump Shrimp. This was not a luxury hotel, but was clean and comfortable and a good value for the price we paid.

Right from the begining the hotel staff was excellent. We stayed 3 nights and 4 days. The room was very clean and well equipped (fridge and micro). The breakfast was good. We had b-fast there tues, Wed, and Thursday. Tues and Wednesday we had our choice of pastrys, hard boiled eggs, cereals, on Thursday they stepped it up and we had everything from before as well as scrambled eggs, sausage and hash browns. The walk to Disney is about 10 minutes. It is a long a wide sidewalk that is not right on top of the busy street which is nice when walking with little ones. We will diffently come back to this hotel not just because the ammenties were great (I'm sure you can get these at other hotels) but the service from every department went out of the way to make our stay special.

“Great Location”

This motel is directly across from Disneyland - a 5 minute walk to the park's entrance. The price is good for the area. The rooms are adequate but tired. The chemical fumes from the indoor pool waft into the parking lot. The pool is sad. There are only two elevators in this complex so be prepared to walk or wait. The breakfast barely qualifies for the description "continental". White or wheat sandwich bread, two dry cereal choices, stale sweet rolls, coffee, oranges and juice. The breakfast room is small and dreary. But heck - a quick walk across the street and you're in the happiest place on earth.

“Overrated!”

We selected this hotel based on our review on Tripadvisor and other feedback media. The rooms were ok but a little tight. The staff wasn't that friendly. While checking in, my wife tried to make "small talk" with the clerk who appeared extremely bored. I don't know, maybe it's me; but if you are going to offer hotel services near Disneyland, then your staff had better be well-prepared to engage with a lot of really excited patrons!

Forget the "breakfast"!!! Hard boiled eggs just don't cut it for me with respect to getting my protein for the day. The fruit looked like it had been shipped in from some third-world country and the general condition of the "dining room" was absolutely deplorable! I felt like I was slogging through a grub line at some gulag! Ummm, another thing managment might want to think about: it's not enough to simply offer a "free" breakfast. You also have to provide an appealing setting for the patrons to dine in and you have to offer food that invites people to eat it...not throw it away! Yikes! If my wife hadn't brought bags of cold cereal in our luggage, we would have had to skip breakfast altogether. Urp! Lastly, the "breakfast" needs to be offered at an earlier time so the patrons can scoot on down to Disneyland and get a decent place in line before the resort opens.

Oh, yeah...that little restaurant/bar next to the hotel? I think it's called "The Sandbox". Well, all I have to say is that is clearly an appropriate name! What a dump. We couldn't eat the hotel's "breakfast" on Sunday Morning because it was offered later than the time that we wanted to get to Disneyland (which opened at 8:00 a.m. that morning). Therefore, we decided to eat breakfast at "The Sandbox". First, the business is not at all connected to the hotel, so get ready to hand over your credit card for the EXHORBITANT charges (i.e. you can't simply charge your hotel room)! Holy Toledo! A simple breakfast of orange juice, bagels, cream cheese and coffee for seven people was obscenely priced! I was ready to start throwing sand in "The Sandbox"!

The Quizno's attached to the property offered good food for a reasonable price.

The lobby of the hotel is nice...so much, that when you first walk into the joint, you think that you have arrived at a rather nice place for a nice price. That's where it stops. The elevator was slow and cranky (probably installed in the original construction) and the rooms are mediocre. We had a difficult time getting proper air circulation in our room. Lastly, the washing machines and the clothes dryers were skanky and gobbled up our quarters!

The location is ok. About a 15 minute walk to Disneyland. A bus stop sits in front of the building on the corner where a lot of interesting human beings pass by. We noticed what appeared to be a homeless person with mental derangement hanging around the bus stop for several days. We also noticed a lot of shady-looking characters passing through the adjacent 7-11 parking lot. I always engaged in furvent prayer when we passed through that lot!

Overall, this hotel doesn't really provide much. You get what you pay for. Next time we are going to stay at the Howard Johnson Hotel across the street from the resort.

“Very average”

Stayed there for one night before going to disneyland the following day. Breakfast was mediocre, nothing bad, but nothing good. The rooms were standard, beds had typical paper thin comforter although housekeeping was very prompt when we asked for extra blankets and towels. The a/c was very loud and when we first arrived the room was HOT and we had to run the a/c on high for half an hour before it was comfortable.

The lobby was very nice but the rooms didnt look as if they were updated with the lobby. Very good location, was a short ten minute walk to disneyland and compared to the cost of the other hotels near disneyland was a good value.

One negative is that there was a few elevators, but the one closest to our rooms and the one we were directed to was basically a freight type elevator that was very small and had an odd smell.
