Just stayed at the Pepper Tree about a week ago, and I really enjoyed our stay here. I have tried about 10 different hotels in the Disneyland area, and this is probably my favorite overall.
The room was attractive and very well set up. While we didn't really use the full features of the kitchen, it was very well set up. This is also the most comfortable place I've stayed in the area: the BEST bed, great pillows...just a really good night's sleep. I've paid much more for rooms that had beds so hard that I could not sleep there, so this is the best quality for the money, in my opinion.
I really liked the large balcony we had (complete with table and chairs) with a nice view over the pool. Plus, being able to open up to fresh air instead of relying on the AC is a bonus. I do have to say that facing out to Lincoln avenue is rather noisy in the morning when traffic starts up, but not a complete deal-breaker.
Overall, noise is about the only downside here, but many places I've stayed in the area are often thin-walled and noisy. I specifically requested a top-floor room, so I think that helped cut down on noise. But anyplace you stay in the area will probably be noisy when the kids are up and excited to get to Disneyland. : )
We were able to get over to the park in just a few minutes, and I thought the location was great. Plan on the parking structure taking a little bit of time on busier days, but it wasn't too bad.
This is a great place to stay, and the staff is spectacular. I would highly recommend it.
