I have stayed at a similar property in Melbourne previously, so when I was searching for somewhere to stay in Sydney, this hotel was a natural choice. I had read the reviews on trip advisor, and thought it sounded pretty good. I contacted the hotel directly for a quote on the price of rooms for the weekend I was to be there. After being told the price, I reserved a one bedroom suite for 3 nights. Upon arrival at the hotel, I was a little unsure I had the right property, as the hotel had undergone a name change the previous week (the hotel is now called Mantra on Kent). However, after confirming with the lady at reception, I was assured I was in the correct place. Check-in was quick and fuss free, and I was also told I was being upgraded. No idea why, but I'm not complaining. I was on the 21st floor, and lift delivered me there swiftly. When I opened my door, I was surprised and extremely happy with my room. I had a washer and dryer in my huge bathroom, king size bed, oven and microwave in the kitchen, and tv, dvd player and internet cables. The view of Darling Harbour was a little obstructed by some buildings, but I could still see quite a bit. The bedroom could also be completely screened off from the rest of the apartment. There was a note on the bedside table from the room maid, with her name and a form which could be filled out with any specific requests. The mini fridge was completely stocked, and also contained a complimentary small carton of milk. Everytime I left the hotel or returned, I was greeted by staff at reception, and also asked if everything was ok with my room. Overall I could not have been happier with my experience staying at this hotel. The only tiny critisism I have would be the tea and coffee was not restocked every day, but then I didn't use it all anyway. Also, the water in the shower tended to be a bit up and down on temperature, but that was minor. I would definately stay here again in the future.
