We flew into Sydney to start our 6 week stay in Australia and NZ and the Ardmore House in Sydney was our first B&B. My husband's back went out on the flight over and they sent us to their own chiropracter and then kept ice packs on hand until he felt better. The kindnesses continued during our four day stay.

The house has beautiful antiques and the hosts are just exceptional people. Declan's breakfasts were works of art, besides being some of the best breakfasts we had on our trip. Peter regaled us with stores about some of his life experiences as an international opera singer. They shared their living room with us and let us feel their house was our house.

This was our introduction to Sydney and just the perfect way to start our once in a lifetime trip.

What can we say about a place where you are made to feel as though you are in your own home?

Declan & Peter were excellent hosts, from picking us up at the airport, bringing us early morning tea in bed, a different gourmet breakfast each morning, a very sound knowledge of Sydney, introducing us to all the locals in the nearby pub, to returning us to the airport at the end of our stay.

We were also given a sound introduction to Opera, a performance of which we have booked on returning home.

We highly recommend Ardmore House. Thank you Declan and Peter for an interesting and enjoyable stay - love to Tara the dog.

Our stay was rather short but long enough to know we will be back.
Peter and Declan picked us up at the Airport and gave us very good advice how to get around Sydney. They were also very helpful to find and book nice restaurants and recommend places to visit.
Ardmore House is conveniently located and in a very nice area.
Accomodation is very good.
Actually, it was almost as nice talking with Peter and Declan over the great daily breakfast as visiting Sydney.
It just made a big difference spending some time with them (and Tara the dog) so why stay in a commercial hotel?

Based on Trip Advisor recommendations, we stayed at the Ardmore House for several days near the end of an extended vacation. The glowing recommendations proved to be highly reliable and our stay at the Ardmore House was indeed one of the highlights of a tremendous trip.

The Ardmore House's airport shuttle was a welcome and cost effective service. The location's proximity to public transit offered hassle free access to all of Sydney's sites and Newtown itself is an interesting and eclectic neighbourhood.

Declan and Peter were outstanding hosts. Upon arrival, they provided a wealth of insight into transit, amenities, sites to visit, etc, which allowed us to make the most of our short stay. Their breakfasts were sumptuous. Most importantly, their warm hospitality made us feel like we were staying with friends and for a highly memorable visit to Sydney.

Without question we look forward to staying with Declan and Peter again.
