“Very good value”

Great central location in Market Street. Lobby is on the 8th floor, nice breakfast room that has a good selection of fresh fruit, pastry, assorted cooked items all of super quality.

Room 2201 is comfortable, good views. Fun to have a bath looking out of the window over Darling Harbour. Comfortable bed, quiet room so a good nights sleep. The pool is on the outside, nice and modern, attractive although sun only gets to it at certain times of the day.

Executive level lounge on floor 24, good views and nice breakfast or compo drinks and snacks - you can just about get enough to make a free dinner up there.

All in all, great value. Choose it

“Excellent value”

Stayed in a 22nd floor junior suite with balcony and executive lounge access for an excellent rate of AUD258 per night. This is the cheapest room rate for other hotels of a similar standard in Sydney, so to get a balcony suite and lounge access was quite incredible value.

The bedroom was very large, with a small living room attached (with both a normal mini-bar and a large wine fridge). Flat screens in both the living room and the bedroom. The main bathroom was very large with great views, and there was an additional toilet. The balcony gave great views over Darling Harbour and the city and was a real bonus in a city with few hotel balconies. The bed was firm and, although it didn't impede sleep, the oddly hard pillows did to some extent.

The executive lounge provided a very acceptable breakfast, soft drinks throughout the day and self-serve canapes and drinks in the evening. It was actually a bit more atmospheric than most hotel executive lounges.

The outdoor pool area was lovely, although much improved on weekdays when the throngs had checked out. A nice jacuzzi, steam room and sauna and an average gym are also on the pool level.

I have to say I never expected to find value like this in Sydney. The Swissotel is not as plush as properties like the Radisson, but it is very comfortable and spacious, and the value cannot be beaten. Will definitely stay again.

Stayed here for 4 nights at the start of a 5 week trip in Australia. Hotel is very central which makes it convenient for all the attractions Sydney has to offer. Room a very good size. Breakfast was first class and really set you up for the day. Staff all very pleasant. I would give this hotel 10 out of 10. Definitely worth the money and I would certainly stay here again.

“Great place to stay”

I stayed here for six nights over New Years and enjoyed my stay very much. The room was immaculately clean, well appointed and very spacious. I had seen several comments about the beds being too hard. It might have been a little firmer than most but still comfortable and I did not have any trouble sleeping. The central location is what I liked best. Easy access to a City Rail station across the street. Darling Harbour a short walk away. Shops of all kinds right at your door step. A little bit longer walk down to Circular Quay but not unpleasant, I did it several times.

“Superb! First Class!”

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Swissotel for 2 nights just before Christmas of 07. First of all, the location of this hotel is great, its only a 5-10 mins walk to Darling Harbour, which is one of the loveliest places to eat in Sydney and also not too far from Circular Quay. From the moment we stepped in the door, we received a great service. We were greeted on the ground floor by the porters who gratefully took our bags and told us to take the lift up to Reception. A few days later, they also helped us to find a restaurant we had been looking for, they rang a directory serviceand got the address and then showed us the location on a map. The reception area was spacious and airey and the reception team themselves were extremely helpful, friendly and charming. They provided us with a map of Sydney, which we found to be invaluable and when we did not have our towels replaced in our room they made sure this was rectified straight away. The room was just gorgeous! It has a King size bed with several pillows and cushions. There was a big window in which we had a good view of the city, especially at night and the tv was a flat screen and mounted on the wall. The bathroom was also fantastic! It was very big and had a large shower cubicle and also a seperate bath under the window. The room had a lovely modern and luxurious feel. The hotel also has an outdoor pool, which was great. There were plenty of loungers and it was a very good size and they provided us with towels. Overall, I could not fault this hotel. It definitely lives up to its 4and a half to 5 * rating and is a cut above the rest. I would definitely suggest shopping around for the price as I managed to get a great deal with Expedia.
