just back from the plaza and had a very nice 6 night stay, location is great , bus from marco polo airport drops opposite hotel, (5 euro return fare), and for access to venice its also opposite the rail station where trains run every 10 minutes or so and a fantastic 2 euro return fare. the hotel is spotlessly clean, breakfast is good, rooms are comfortable and of reasonable size and the bathroom was 10/10.
mestre itself a liitle quiet at night, but was happy for that after a busy day in venice, also the centre of mestre is well worth a visit, about 15 minute walk, and a lot more relaxed and italian than the touristy venice.
found the plaza to be very rasonably priced and of good standard, and will (i hope) go back, well worth a visit.

We just returned from this hotel... where do i start from the moment we arrived we knew we had picked a gem... the staff in the hotel were very friendly and polite nothing was to much hassle for them

The room was large compared to what we expected and super clean... only 2 English speaking channels on the tv but they were fab a film channel and cnn... the bathroom was large and the tub was very deep... and the show was a power shower which pleased me greatly ... the bed was very firm but after walking around Venice all day it was very nice... unlike other reviews we had a room facing the station and did not hear a peep and slept sound... chocolates on the pillow every night and clean sheet every night and towels of course

The breakfast was very good and replenished all the time the chocolate pastry were to die for... we ate at the hotel most night and the food was great ... must mention the chips and lamb chops they were ace!!! oh and the raspberry pudding ...

As you are across the street from the train station you just jump on the next train to venice for one euro (which you buy from the sweetie counter in the station) but do remember to get it stamped at one of the wee yellow box's on the way up to the platform as you can get fined if you don't and no one will tell you when you buy them... also you can just buy two tickets one for the way and one for the way back

We liked being in Mestre out of the hussel and bussle of venice will be booking with the plaza next year... don't think anywhere else would compare...

This hotel was a gem, found it by chance when searching on the internet and checked the reviews on this site. It seemed like exactly what we were looking for. A well priced hotel with ease of accessibility to Venice. It was a big seller to have an airport connection so close to this hotel and no hassle with dragging bags and water buses as we were unsure what to expect with that. Also quality of Venice accomodation at our budget didnt seem all that inspiring.

We got a great deal with this hotels website. 3 nights for the price of 2, so two of us got a double room for 3 nights for 199 euros, brilliant deal. Hotel was excellent standard. Breakfast was superb, and the connection to Venice was very easy by train. I heard there was a bus too but we didnt take this.

We spent one day shopping in Mestre's Auchan shopping centre which is at the terminus of the 3 bus which is walking distance from the hotel. Worth a look if you'll be around a while.

Venice was fantastic but nightlife was extremely low key. 3 days was enough for me thoroughly enjoyable though.

The hotel would be a great choice I would imagine in the summer when I hear Venice becomes quite crowded and expensive.

Comes highly recommended by us anyway!

We stayed at the Plaza for three nights in late Oct 2006. The staff both at reception and in the dining room we found to be very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and consisted of both a cold and hot buffet. Our room was rather a surprise I would call it a small suite with lounge. Beautifully decorated. Access to Venice was extremely easy either by bus or train one euro each way, short trip and rather enjoyable. Direct bus from and to Venice airport is located very short walk from Hotel.
We used the actual hotel internet site to book our room and it was a bargin at 75 euro for each night which included breakfast. You need to check it out they have some great internet booking bargins.
Would I say again , absolutely.
