This is the 2nd time we have taken a group to the hotel. July 2006 hotel was fine but with the total room refurbishments now complete our 2007 visit was excellent. Our group was 63 people in total and not a single complaint.

We stayed for 7 nights so thats 441 bed nights so a lot of people happy.

We went to Zandvoort for a family visit and NH hotel is by far the best available in this small seaside town. Hotel is located on the boulevard, directly across from the beach. The Hotel parking lot was small but plenty of space available at this time of the year. We stayed in one of the Suites which was very spacious with 2 separate bedrooms, sitting room and kitchenette. Luxury bathroom and separate washroom. Wonderful view of the ocean. All windows opened, no problems with heating, mattresses were very comfortable, chocolates on the pillows every day. The hotel is currently going through a major renovation (all new furniture etc etc). The hot breakfast buffet is fantastic and definately worth the extra Euro's. All staff were courteous and friendly. This hotel allows pets and has designated pet rooms. The hotel is situated at the edge of town, making it a 15 to 20 minute walk to the town centre which is a nice walk in the summer. The train from Zandvoort goes directly to Amsterdam Central. The Café Neuf is a cozy cafe/eatery located in the Haltestraat in the centre of town.

Great location, very clean, very efficient hotel.
Good sound proofing - can't hear a thing outside even in March there was a gale force wind blowing - silent.
Unfortuantley as with many hotels in Europe no double beds - just twin mattress loosley joined together that move very easily , despite specificaly being told they did have one mattress doubles. Stayed alone there in August again - it was so hot in the room - impossible to sleep and had to call reception to send someone to try to open small window - definately needs Air Con. Breakfast was good enough nice bathroom. Doesn't warrent 4 star accreditation.

If you want a good quality hotel within easy reach of Amsterdam and yet not paying anywhere like Amsterdam prices then why not choose this place? Zandvoort itself is one of those post-war reconstructed resorts and lacks character but the hotel is warm and comfortable and entirely satisfactory for a short break, especially out of season when it can be very peaceful indeed. Although a bracing twenty minute walk from the railway station you do pass by some wonderful seafood stalls which serve good food at reasonable prices. Don't hang around on Zandvoort station because it is used as a shelter for drunks; however, if you time it right there's usually a train that you can get straight onto. The hotel rooms were of a good standard, spacious; and the bathrooms were spotless.
