“Absolutely beautiful!!!”

This hotel is fantastic, everything was brilliant!

Room:
Very spacious and charmingly furnished. It is very clean especially the bathroom which is decorated well. You also get lots of complimentary stuff from soaps to cotton wool! Also you can use the mini fridge to keep your drinks cool.

Rest of hotel:
Is really nice very unusual lay out but thats venice lol! The breakfast room is lovely especially the patio area. Alot of people said the breakfast was limited but for a continental breakfast it was brillaint and lot of choice. Cooked food is extra but that is the same in virtually any hotel in europe! The staff are lovely and so friendly and helpful! Also, bring a corkscrew buy some wine from the supermarket and you can drink it outside the hotel.

Location:
Is perfect its in the north of venice so its peaceful and quiet but your only 5-10min walk from all the shops etc. Easy to get to from the marco paulo airport, just catch the Alilaguna line Aracio but it only runs every hour and stops around 6pm. The ticket is 12 euros and I wouldn't bother using the waterbuses in venice as you won't need to much better to walk! Also, don't eat in the main tourist areas they really overcharge you and include a 10-15% service charge. There are 2 lovely restaurants near the hotel one called la fondementa (something like that) can't remember the other but just ask the hotel staff they are more than happy to help.

I think thats it, definitly amazing hotel and venice is gorgeous, its so unusual and amazing!

“Delightful Hotel”

Hotel was recommended by a friend. We brought them home a nice present!

Romantic location away from hectic St. Mark’s Square in a true Venetian neighborhood with great (and reasonable) restaurants and local shops. Just a few minutes from both Laguna and Vaporetto stops. Hotel impeccably clean, staff consummately professional. Rooms distinctively decorated and surprisingly spacious for Europe. Breakfast was elegant and generous. Great value; will definitely return.

Nice hotel in Venice. Friendly staff and clean, cozy rooms. If we are ever going back to Venice we will more than likely stay in this hotel again.

“A Real Gem!”

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. It is located on a quiet canal, away from the crowds, but near to bars, trattoria and shops frequented by locals. Hence the prices in the adjoining neighbourhood are very reasonable, an important consideration in expensive Venice! The hotel itself is beautifully presented, very luxuious rooms, spotlessly clean and quiet, with helpful, multilingual staff. If I had to make one picky little point, I would say the breakfast isn't quite up to 4 star standards. There are the usual juices, fruit, cereals and pastries, but if you want anything hot to eat, you have to pay extra. The coffee is not that great either. However, that aside, the overall experience was wonderful and I highly recommend this hotel.

“Perfect Anniversary”

Ai Mori d'Oriente Hotel

Jun 16, 2008

My husband took me on a surprise visit to Venice for our first wedding anniversary. I found out that he had done alot of research into hotels in Venice to find a good hotel in a quiet location with good reviews. It certainly ticked all the boxes.

We had a superior room with a lovely terrace which we used one evening (when it wasn't raining!). The room was a good size with a nice bathroom and very clean. The location of the hotel in a residential part of Venice suited us well - we were happy to get away from the hustle and bustle, eat in cheaper places and buy our bottled water from the local supermarket (for about 20p for a large bottle).

Breakfast in the morning was very nice and included in the price of the room. We also used the hotel bar a few times and enjoyed an evening watching Italy play Holland in Euro 2008 with the staff. They were all very friendly and professional. It's not cheap though! We bought a bottle of champagne in duty free and put it in our mini bar fridge so that we could celebrate in style without breaking the bank.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Our room was comfortable, we enjoyed mixing with the locals and being in a quiet spot. If we ever go to Venice again, we would definitely stay here.
