We (3 couples) visited the Colle del Barbarossa in May of 2007. We stayed for four nights and our stay could NOT have been more perfect. The small hotel/resturant/winery was located
in the regional park of Euganean Hills in Teolo near Abano. VERY convenient for our visits to Verona and Venice, as well as Padova.
There were three large bedrooms with ensuite baths. The price--which was VERY reasonable--included a large breakfast. Twice when we returned too tired from our travels our host fixed us a snack/dinner that included some very fine wine--made by the family. AGAIN, VERY reasonably priced.
In the morning we could hear pheasants calling to each other before we left for our "day trips". In the evening we sat at their picnic table overlooking farms and orchards, sipping our wine and discussing our day.
It was truly a perfect place, and the family treated us like one of their own. I would go back tomorrow if I could!!
