I booked this hotel last minute and paid a very high rate for a Best Western-the hotel did not disappoint. Our room was charming-with exposed timber and high ceilings-double paned glass kept most of the noise from the Rugby revellers at bay. They were very helpful -after a 12 hour flight we arrived at the hotel at 10:30a.m.-I had a small child with me- the receptionist told me our room would be ready around 2p.m.-but also said go have a coffee and come back. By 11a.m. we were in our room! The morning continental breakfast was good-and the lady in the breakfast room happy to make my daughter a hot chocolate in the morning. The reception staff are fabulous at concierge duties-and happy to arrange tours, car service, taxi, restaurant etc...I would stay here again.

This hotel is in an ideal location for the Paris tourist. Short walk to/from the Metro station, walking distance to Notre Dame, Seine river, etc… The Metro station it is closest to is a direct line to the main train station.
Lots of little shops and cafés nearby including a wine store, small grocery store, cell phone store, etc…
Breakfast was excellent and included in the price. Rooms are clean and nicely decorated.
One negative – there is Wireless Internet Access but it is not included in the price of the room. And nobody knows how much it is… The price is not posted on their website (which lead me to believe that it was included in the price of the room), and when I asked the Front Desk about it, he said he didn’t know the price – I would have to logon to find out.
One strange thing did happen to us while we were there. We were in the room with the “Do Not Disturb” sign clearly posted outside of our room. Housekeeping opened our door without knocking! Why?

We stayed at the Best Western St. Germain in late August. We chose this hotel after endless hours of research and we were definitely not disappointed. This hotel was in a perfect location, beautifully decorated and we had a spacious triple room that looked onto a lovely courtyard. The staff was very nice and we had a very charming hostess in the breakfast room. We had a wonderful breakfast each morning with a selection of cereals, yoghurt, cheeses and a delicious basket of french pastries!! The atmosphere of the hotel was very warm and friendly and there was a very nice salon off the lobby where you could sit and relax or visit with other guests. The hotel was very charming in every way from the decor to the rose scented pillow on my bed each night. The hotel is close to many attractions. Easy walking distance to Notre Dame, Luxembourg Gardens, the Louvre, Musee D'Orsay and nearby metro. Tons of cafes and great shopping surrounding the hotel as well. Would absolutely stay here again!

We arrived at the Premier Left Bank after a very long flight from NY and had to leave the next afternoon to catch a connecting flight to elsewhere in Europe. Hoping for a quick "taste of Paris" we booked here. It was an excellent choice. The front desk was very warm and accommodating and helped us to find a restaurant that suited our dietary needs at a very late hour.

We were actually supposed to have a room that slept 4, but it was not available -- we were given two rooms and it suited us just fine. The rooms were small ("cozy") but had a great deal of character and were well-equipped. The location was excellent. My teenage son left his wallet in the room by accident, and the staff was very helpful in seeing that it was promptly shipped home (credit cards and cash untouched).
