Our first time to stay at this particular airport hotel in Dublin. We found it to be much quieter than the others which is a great plus.
Check in was quick & efficient. Our room on second floor facing large car park was spacious and spotlessly clean. Had tea/coffee facilities and A/C. Bathroom had toiletries, white fluffy towels and bath robes. Airport traffic/noise was minimal. Had booked double bed which we thought we got as it had one large duvet cover but realised later we had 2 single beds pushed together. The problem here was that the beds were not the same height! Had our meal in their restaurant "The Clouds" which was good for hotel food. They have special price menu for staying guests but make sure to ask for it. Courtesy bus brought us to and from airport without any hassle. Journey only 5 minutes.

Stayed for one after a flight, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the shuttle service to and from the terminal was efficient and on time. The room was clean, comfortable and well furnished. Highly recommended.

We stayed in the Carlton Hotel 21st April 2008. We arrived following a long journey, and even though we had booked 3 days earlier our reservation was misplaced by them and booked for the 27th instead. Eventually we got the problem sorted as the hotel was not busy on the night and we were given a nice room, but it was freezing. We turned the radiator on and went downstairs for an hour while the room heated. (or so we thought!) The night was very cold and when we returned to the cold room we phoned reception to have it sorted, we were amazed when a portable electic heater was delivered to our room. This was very unpleasant and the room became stuffy but it was not possible to open a window due to the closeness of a runway and airport noise outside. We had also stayed there when going on our holiday. We had booked an early morning call, which we did not receive. Potentially, we could have missed our flight, so we suggest, you do not depend upon an alarm call. We thought at the time that this was a once off incident but now we don't! Irish Guest

We just returned from a visit to Ireland. The hotel was very nice! The front desk staff was excellent, professional, and extremely helpful. The rooms were well maintained and relaxing. We were impressed with how quiet and peaceful it was at night. Transportation is necessary to get to pubs and other eating establishments unless you plan on eating every meal at the hotel.
