“I loved the Harding”

Harding Hotel

5 of 5 stars
New Jersey, USA
Apr 10, 2008

I was very happy with my stay at the Harding.

I was in Dublin for two nights and was looking for a discount hotel, as I was traveling alone. I arrived at the Harding a bit early, but there was a locked luggage storage room, and my room was ready about noon.

The facilities of the hotel are very comfortable. My bed was great, the shower water pressure was very strong, and the water very hot. It is a very comfortable hotel! The location is great - just a short walk from Temple Bar, but far enough away that you don't have the crowds outside your window. From the airport - City Bus 748 stops just a couple of blocks away (Woods Quay stop - keep walking in the direction of the bus to the next intersection, which is Fishamble).

The hotel offers free wifi, which is quite a nice thing in this part of the world. The connection in my room was quite strong and I could use Skype effectively.

My rate included a full Irish breakfast in the cafe next door - service is 7:30-12:00 so it is available late in the morning (but perhaps not early enough if you have to catch a morning flight).

I did notice some music in the hotel pub in the evenings as I walked out - my room on the 3rd floor was high enough so that I did not hear it in my room. But I would be a bit cautious about rooms on the low floors.

Overall, I was quite delighted with my stay at the Harding - I really believe it is at least a three-star property, and I will certainly be staying there again.

“Great weekend away for the Mums of Potters Bar, Herts!”

Harding Hotel

Potters Bar, Herts
Apr 6, 2008

The hotel was more like a 3* accomadation. Fantastic facilities. Friendly and helpful staff. Location excellent for Temple Bar( drinks expensive!), 5-10 mins walk to local town centre/tourist information centre(cheap deals for tours). Plenty of historical place to visit and shops for the ladies! Recommend local open-air tour bus, good value.
Downside hotel pub, live Irish bands were a bit anti-British with some of their songs, shame.
Overall would recommend, take plenty of money!!!

“Nice hotel, good location”

Harding Hotel

4 of 5 stars
Southampton, England.
Apr 2, 2008

We stayed in the Harding Hotel in January for a long weekend.

Location: The hotel is in a good location, very close to the centre and also close to Temple Bar. Although the hotel is on a main road we didn't have any problem with noise and the church bells weren't an issue for us either. We stayed in a room on the top floor so this probably helped.

Staff: The staff were generally friendly and helpful although it was sometimes difficult to get the attention of the person on reception as they were generally too busy on the computer or telephone.

Room: The room was spacious and clean and had everything that you would expect.

Food: We only ate breakfast at the hotel but the food was very nice and we liked the fact that breakfast was served until midday.

Overall: We would certainly recommend this hotel especially for the amount that we paid. This is one of the cheaper hotels in Dublin but you wouldn't know it once you're there.

“Love the Harding”

Harding Hotel

5 of 5 stars
Worcestershire
Apr 1, 2008

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in February. We found the staff friendly and always willing to help.Breakfast was very filling. Evening meal was good value for money especially in Dublin we paid about 15Euros for three courses so we ate there both nights. Rooms were clean and well equipped with tea coffee and sugar. The bar had a good atmosphere with many locals in it so we ended up spending most of the one evening in there. We had no problems with noise but we'd had a good drink. Temple bar was only a couple of minutes walk away.
I loved this hotel and booked to go back in September.
