Our family of 4 had the pleasure of staying with Elaine and Danny for one night at the very end of our trip. The host and hostess are wonderful friendly people and made us feel right at home from the first moment we arrived. The rooms and house are spotless, spacious, very tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The views are spectacular and the hot breakfast was amazing. We only wish we could have stayed a few more days. On our next trip to Newfoundland, we will be sure to stay at Elaine's again!

Our stay at Elaine's B&B to end our stay in Newfoundland was wonderful. The house is spotless, the common areas huge, there are windows everywhere, and our room was great - private bath, fireplace and windows overlooking the bay (ask for #6). We chose Elaine's because they offer whale/bird watching tours in zodiacs rather the 'tourist' boats. Our private tour was fantastic - the swells/waves were huge (can you say rollercoaster fun), the whales were jumping, the numbers of birds was amazing and to top it off, Danny extended our tour to go cod jigging. He knew we hadn't had dinner so he cooked up the freshly caught cod for us when we got back to the house. This is much more than a 'bed and breakfast' - it is home that makes everyone feel welcome! Elaine, Danny and their 2 children are fantastic hosts. When we get across the country again, we'll spend more than 2 nights at Elaine's B&B!

My daughter and I had the pleasure of visiting Newfoundland in late July and the trip was fantastic. We started our trip at Elaines and it was one of the highlights of our trip. It is set in a very picturesque bay. You could sit at the breakfast table or in the lounge and see the whales in the distance., One evening a puffin was spotted down by the water. Elaine was very helpful in recommending places to eat. We ate at the Captains Table which was some of the best sea food I have ever had. We went sea kayaking south of where we were staying and that was fabulous. We saw 8 humpback whales and were only about 20 feet away from them. We also went out on a zodiac boat just next to the b&b to see the puffins and we not only saw the birds but saw numerous whales up close . I cannot say enough about this b&b from the home made muffins and jams to the spotless rooms and the friendly helpful nature of Elaine. It truely is a wonderful place and I hope someday to come back.

What a charming surprise awaited us at Witless Bay. This was only our third night in Newfoundland so we had not really fully experienced the Newfoundland hospitality that we had been promised The first thing we noticed was the beauty in the cove - an enormous iceberg was there to greet us. Fortuneately Danny had a zodiac to transport guest out for a closer view. This home was so amazingly spotless, the beds were so comfortable and our hosts so eager to address our every need. Elaine served the BEST breakfasts in all of Newfoundland with so much to choose from. Her muffins were to die for! We had full access to their family/living room, all with beautiful view of the ocean. Cards, board games were ours to use but such good conversation with other guest seemed to occupy our evenings. We would definitely like to come back and stay longer
