“Great hotel”

We stayed in the Westin Grand for 4 nights while visiting Vancouver in June '08. The deluxe corner suite is fantastic with kitchenette, living room, and separate bedroom. Bathroom is finished with tile and granite everything. Can't beat the Westin heavenly shower!

The hotel is fairly pricey, but you get what you pay for. The rooms are well kept and extremely clean. The bed was more comfortable than at home.

The lobby and common areas are beautiful. Underground parking was easily accessed, and the location directly on Robson street was great.

Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

“Great value, Great location”

My husband and I stayed here on 2 occasions over Dec and January, and both times were a very pleasant stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The first room we had was on a lower floor and didn’t have much of a view, but when we returned after our touring, we upgraded to a larger suite, which was much more spacious and on a higher floor. The suite had a large tub and separate lounge area.
We got an internet rate on the first booking of $215 CAD which was prepay for 8 nights. The second room we stayed for 3 nights and it included internet and was a bit more a night.
The property was very easy to access, and from living in Vancouver 5 years ago we knew that it was in a great location. The bonus is that there is grocery store right down stairs, and you have all the facilities to make your own breakfast. This hotel is also very close to Pacific centre, Granville and Robson Streets, the perfect location.
Parking is Valet, most of the time they were good, unloading the bags, and helping. There were only a few times where they were very busy that it was a bit slow bringing the car around.
Front desk staff was friendly, and once we had our key deactivated, and they fixed that no problem.
We chose this hotel for the gym facilities, these were fantastic.
Over all I would come back to this hotel due to all of the above. But most of all the price is very good for a downtown hotel.

This is a fantastic hotel, with great facilities.
The Staff are both friendly and very professional. loved the pool and Jacuzzi. its location on Robson street was great because everything you need was in walking distance, be it food, drink or trip pick up/drop off.
I will return here again

“nice hotel good location”

Westin Grand Vancouver

This is a nice hotel in a good location. We booked 14 nights in an executive suite on the 31st floor. It was a good size but the bed was a bit narrow and the curtains let the sunlight in all around the sides and top. We didn't have a separate bath and shower as others have said. There is a building site right next door which works from 7am til 7pm except sunday. There is also a lot of traffic noise especially as there is a fire/rescue depot around the corner whose vehicles wake you up at all hours of the night. They tried to charge us for 2 sodas from the mini bar which we didn't drink. The pool and area was too small to bother with. The restaurant staff are second to none but the restaurant is open plan with the lobby and reception which is strange and quite noisy sometimes. Also people tend to wander in on their way past and help themselves to fruit etc from the buffet ! The buffet was ok same everyday but all fruit, bread and pastries are uncovered and were usually covered in small black flies. We avoided them after a couple of days. Our breakfast was included but I wouldn't pay extra for it.
Had a great time in Vancouver though.

“Pleasant Stay at the Westin Grand”

Westin Grand Vancouver

5 of 5 stars
Santa Barbara

I spent five days at this fine hotel. I picked this hotel because of its central location and reputation as a great hotel. It was an easy walk to Canada Day activities, Yaletown, theater, city library, etc. The staff did a fine job getting me into my room. The entire hotel staff from check-in to concierge to restaurant staff (hats off to Barry and Oliver) were pleasant and professional in handling my requests. My 16th floor suite and bathroom was comfortable, modern, spacious, quiet, and secure. The bed was most comfortable; I slept soundly. I loved the daily selection of Canadian papers with my buffet breakfast as well as the Wall Street Journal The fitness and outdoor pool areas were also a pleasant surprise although new construction was on-going and quite visible and noisy across the street. Earlier in my stay, the elevators were suprisingly quick, however, during the latter part of my stay, the wait time for an elevator to my room took over five minutes on several occasions. During my trip, I visited several of the other fine downtown hotels, but I'm glad I chose the Westin Grand. The streets are safe to walk and I enjoyed the buzz of this beautiful city, its small stores/shops, and its wonderfully diverse population and creative types. The price neared $300 US dollars per night, but it was worth it. If I come to Vancouver again, I'll once again visit the Grand Westin.
