“Nice hotel but theft on the beach”

For the most part the ratings on this Hotel are on the money. You can't beat the location. Very easy to get to and the service is fast and prompt. I arrived early and had no problem checking in early.

Once inside I found my room spacious witha great view and overall very clean. The elevators worked, although in the morning only one did sometimes but I never wated long.

As you can see the property is very nice and the beach is wonderful. Now lets talk about the food. If your expecting wonderful, you will be greatly dissapointed. Breakfast is your best bet and lunch and dinner or ok. The Italian resturant isn't worth the time...trust me. The snack food was the worst. they only offer hamburgers, dogs and fries and the hamburgers were nasty.

Now for the best. On my second day of a five day stay, I had what I believe to be the annoying vendors on the beach steal $500 out of my bag. After visiting the police station, I met several couples who had rings stolen off their fingers at the hospital and property out of cars and rooms. I never thought it could or would happen to me and this is my 5th time to Cancun in the past year and ahalf. BE VERY CAREFUL and never feel completely safe with your valuables

We stayed at this hotel only one night. We booked it through Hotwire.com. It was a great value! The beach was beautiful the pool was nice too. The staff was very friendly. We only ate at the buffet for breakfast and dinner. The food was just OK. There was always a wait to be seated at the buffet between 5-10 minutes.

After we went to sleep, we were awoken at 4:00 AM to a noisey and really rowdy group of men yelling in the hallway. Then men made noise in the hallway for about 3 minutes and then went away. That was annoying and made me a little nervous. But, overall, the hotel wasn't bad. It was certainly worth what we paid for. It was nice for a 2 1/2 star hotel, in a good location.

“This is a jewel”

We weren't sure what to expect but didn't figure we'd be at the hotel much. This is an elegant place for being "economical". From the time we got to the front desk until the bell hop loaded our luggage into the van to leave, the service was very good. The people who cleaned our room each day left linen/towels folded into creatures, dolls and flowers, just for fun. The food is good after when you use the "fresh is best" approach and the alcohol is bottom of the barrel if you aren't a beer drinker. We were right about not being in our hotel much as we were very busy but the people and cleanliness really make this a pleasant place to recharge from a busy day.

“Older, outdated hotel”

We stayed at this hotel for 2 days prior to transferring to another hotel as part of a work related convention. We were assigned to the ninth floor of an adjacent hotel. We rode an elevator up to the eight floor and then had to walk up stairs to the ninth floor. THIS WAS NOT FUN. The room was hot, so hot that the second say of the stay we had to change rooms after asking for room changes at least 5-6 times. The staff were not helpful, stating that they would send maintenance up to check the hot air, problem. They did this many times when they realized we were going to check out if they didn't get the problem fixed. When asked if this was a problem with the building or our room, they denied it was a problem with the building but then they admitted it was a problem with the whole building after we observed another person complaining about it at the front desk. The building was humid and smelled very musty (moldy). The floors of our room had a slippery "greasy" feel to it. Their fitness center is a joke, consisting of old excersize bikes you'd find in your grandma's house. The weights are those old plastic weights filled with sand. The food bar near the pool has very unedible food.

The opinion of my wife and I is that this hotel should probably be torn down and rebuilt. The building is just very outdated and doesn't provide much comfort.

The food at the restaurants and the drinks were good. That's all we have good to way about this place.
