Because we were arriving at Acapulco Airport at midnight, I was apprehensive about finding the hotel and then getting registered at that hour. No problem. The night man was very efficient. We loved our room on the side of a hill in old town. The nights can be very noisy (there was a disco right below us), but when we were ready to sleep we walked back to the bedroom. It was behind the kitchen which was behind the large living room which was behind the balcony. Closed the door, turned on the a/c and voila! Peace. The owner, Etel, is a gracious and professional woman, who responded to each request promptly. We would certainly stay there again if we return to Acapulco. It was also reasonably priced and had all the comforts. You cannot beat the view, you can watch sun rises and sun sets from the balcony. We spent most of our time there. The whole hotel is very cleverly designed. We loved it! Go!

I was there for 5 days 4 nights, I was very impresed for the reviews of other travelers so i gave it a try. To book was difficult since there was not a site on internet so i gave them a call. that was easy because i speak spanish also, people in that hotel are very helpfull. I got there by car since my main destination was Mexico City, on the beguining it was a little difficult to find it but i remember it is walking distance to the cliff, that helped me to get there, location is in the old acapulco, and yes there are wonderful views from the hotel, I was welcome by Mrs Etel, she gave me a very nice room, excellent view, with a kitchenette, that was perfect since I was traveling with my 2 daugthers, they are very picky eaters so that was a plus.
It is true that across the street they are construction, renovations, going on but they work during the day and don't bother your sleep, for the amount of money you pay here you may be in a hotel at the strip close to the beach but with no view or kitchen having to go out for every need, here you can do your groceries, feel like home, sometimes cook if you want, or go out to eat, you do need a car or taxis, in my case there was not problem since i know my daugthers they would not go anywhere if they don't have transportation, i had a rental car, parking not a problem, is safe around there plus they have people at the front desk 24/7, recomendations, for families, groups, single if you like to explore and walk, it is very quiet, safe not at the beach, and the cliff divers are around the corner so we stop there every day was nice, except for the rainy day and after that there was so many mosquitos near the cliff that we had to run for repellent, the other days there was no problem.
It is like i sayd a house beach that you can enjoy, is not front beach but you can drive to the strip the golden beach where all the big hotels are but there are big waves, or to playa caleta that is more peacefull and quiet then back to hotel where is quiet , safe and great views.
I don't recomend it for newly weds unless you are on a budget.
enjoying the view, the kitchen and the room. my recomendation for that will be a resort 4-5 starts secluded.
Hope this will help you decide if this is for you.

This hotel has the most unbelievable views in Acapulco. From the roof or your own private balcony, you can view Acapulco Bay, Old Acapulco, La Quebrada, and the Pacific Ocean, which is even better at night during the sunsets. The staff of the hotel will treat you like family and they speak English and Spanish. It is a very convienent, and short walk from the Cliff-Divers, La Casa Blanca, Diego Rivera's mural, and the zocolo. If you don't mind walking the hill, it's easy to catch a cab or bus to anywhere in the city. We stayed in a roomy suite, 4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a kitchen and a multipurpose living room and dining room with a private balcony with excellent views.

Booked 4 or 5 nights, stayed 7. Location is a ten minute steep walk from waterfront and zocalo, but the reward is fantastic views towards the city beach and the cliffs. Also only two minute walk from the crazy divers...

Had a studio apartment with decent kitchen, decent bathroom, huge veranda with a fantastic view. Senora Etel is wonderful and very knowledgeable about the area. We had a small car that really came in handy, as we found the nicest beaches to the northwest of town (Pie de la cuesta).

Will stay here again, no question.

Just arrived back home from a month long stay at Etel Suites in warm sunny Acapulco. A delightful 4 weeks staying in the old part of Acapulco experiencing true Mexican flavour and culture. Large clean suites with large terraces with breathtaking views of the old town and Acapulco Bay. I spent many a late afternoon on their rooftop terrace enjoying the beautiful sunset views you get from there. The owner Etel who speaks perfect English is a great host and will look after your every needs during your stay there. Excellent bargain for the price you pay. Staying in the old town you'll pay half the price for breakfast/lunch/dinners as opposed to the hotel strip. Many restaurants close by just by walking 10 minutes to the zocalo (main square area)
They have a swimming pool together with a smaller one for the kids. Excellent for couples and families with children. They have a computer area for the people to use with free wireless service also for anyone like myself who brought their laptop with them. A big thank you goes out to Etel and her staff for making my stay there memory filled. I will definitely be returning back to Etel Suites again and again.
Also a big thank you goes out to the folks at www.acafun who recommended this hotel to me. They were there to answer any of my questions before my arrival with prompt honest service.
English speaking people who will advise you on any questions you have regarding making your stay in Acapulco a delightful experience.
