My Fiancee's family booked this time share and I was able to join them for a wonderful time. They are big sun and beach people so it was right up their alley. We spent about half our week there just lounging by the pools and beach. It is really sad to hear about that fence because we had a great time in January on the lazy river and generally floating about the larger pool closer to the beach often times with drinks either from the friendly ladies at the pool bar or from our convenient first floor suite. I must say it was a bonus to be able to go in and out of the room through the back slider door. I also did this a couple times after dark to use the well subsurface lit lap pool and Jacuzzi. We requested the first floor for handicapped accessibility reasons but even if you don't need it for that reason I would still recommend it.
It was eerie walking around the old abandoned half of the hotel with the little bird zoo and landscaped courtyard. I wonder what it will look like after the construction is over.
The rooms we nice and quiet. While our AC in the smaller of the two roomed suite worked fine, my fiancee's parent's AC, in the larger room, never quite got their temp right. The large kitchen and living area was great for numerous meals. We also had a few good local meals as well. It was a decent trip into San Juan. Try to avoid rush hour cause many roads get backed up and that is not what vacations are for. We went to the city for the Casinos since there are none in Dorado anymore. Also took a side trip to the big Radio Telescope (with the help of a GPS unit we brought down with us).
I agree with comments made by others that those recycled bracelets are kinda scuzzy. With security at the gate, why bother with these?
