we stayed at club ambiance for our honeymoon. The first nite we arrived at 11pm, we were so hungry and couldn't get food anywhere! the second day we decided to go 'shopping' so asked the hotel where the nearest mall was, which was ocho rios. we landed there in a taxi and immediately we were pounced on by hagglers. they scared the life out of both of us! one man took us into a huge market to 'see his stall' and after he almost forced us to buy a few things, he said 'oh come see this other stall' we felt obliged to follow him as we had other locals breathing down r neck. he led us way out the back of the market and said to give him money or else he would tell the drug dealers to go after us. As we were practically lost, we had to give him money to lead us back out but he kept asking for more and more. as soon as we managed to get out of there, we ran to the taxi and back to the hotel. we never left the hotel for the whole 2 weeks for fear!!
the hotels beaches were very small and the water was always full of seaweed and sea snakes! the glasses at the bar were all scratched and i watched how the glasses were washed, by running the water over them!! so not very clean.
i definately would never go back, r honeymoon was a disaster!!

The aptly named Club Ambiance offers more than any Mega Club in Jamaica could! The environment created here is all about you and your enjoyment. Here you will not be a number or just another face to the hotel and staff, at Club Ambiance you will be treated as an honored guest in their home.

If your trip to Jamaica is to be about the experience, more than anything else, this is the right resort to choose. The rooms each have a character of their own, don’t expect perfection but have the assurance that they are clean, well kept and very comfortable. As is with most of the resorts on the North Shore at Runaway Bay they show a little age but the resort staff does its upmost to ensure all is working well.

We just returned from our second visit to Club Ambiance. We had a honeymoon suite with a fantastic view of the ocean. Instead of feeling like another number to be processed we were greeted with warm hugs and a rum punch as we disembarked from the bus that brought us from the airport. The staff was eager and happy to ensure that all of our needs were met and could not do enough for us.

As if lazy pace and personal attention at Club Ambiance aren’t reasons enough, take advantage of some of the best snorkeling in Runaway Bay just a few feet from the beach. Explore the coral reef, see octopus and other sea life as well as a ship wreck. Take a Kayak ride along the coastline and truly enjoy the beauty that is Jamaica.

There is only one restaurant, served in buffet style and a terrace grill for ala carte (extra but not much) the food will delight any palate and the service is by the dining room staff exceptional.

Your enjoyment of the facilities and night club are totally up to you. They are not crowded, nor huge, yet offer an atmosphere where you can truly get to know other guests from around the world, in an intimate surrounding that promotes fun and is to be enjoyed in each individuals particular way.

I cannot imagine going to Jamaica and staying at any other resort now that we have had the full experience of what Club Ambiance has to offer and will look forward to returning often to our “Jamaican Home” and highly recommend Club Ambiance as the place to be at Runaway Bay

my husband i stayed here and returned last night...it was great wonderful and beautiful we had the best time. let me cut to the nitty gritty: we stayed 5 days, honeyoon suite. rained 1 day....

THE BAD
Nada man...it was great all the way around.

The hotel was clean, pretty, staffed well, the water was warm and a great view. Definately visit Dunn's River Falls, Dune Buggy tour with Chukka, Ocho Rios, and Luminous Lagoon. u can skip margarita ville if u have ever been to one this one is not any different.

It was not the best resort we ever stayed at,but we were happy to be able to get away and enjoy Jamaica. This was my 5th time in Jamaica and over-all we could not really complain. It is a very casual resort with good food and most of the staff is friendly,not all of them. I didn't feel that anyone bent over backwards for me like other people said,but I wasn't expecting that either. The beach was small,but the coves were nice as long as you have water shoes,otherwise it is very rockey and a lot of seaweed. The shoes are a MUST!!!! Rooms are clean,they do need some paint ,but it wasn't too bad. We had hot water,sometimes too hot! I think the water issue depends on where your room is. The beach where the naked people lay is the best beach.( which I still don't get why you would want to be buck naked in front of people you don't know,but whatever floats your boat!). The transfers from the airport were fine,except they did drop us off at the curb out front. This made us a little nervous. Make sure the day before you leave the resort you have the front desk confirm your pick-up time to the airport. I did like that the resort was small. It gave us a chance to meet some nice people. Over-all not bad for the price. Would we go back? Maybe. And to all the people who think this place is so bad ..... just be happy to be able to go on vacation, there are a lot of people who only get to do this kind of trip once in a lifetime! I've been to the carribean 17 times and I've stayed at the top of the line and in between and I can honstley say no matter where you stay it's all what you make of it.
