We spent there 2 whole weeks in March and we really enjoyed it. The property has free internet access in the rooms so don't forget to bring your laptop! In the room we stayed (Bamboo Avenue) the reception was not very good but as there were not many guests staying at that time we asked for a different room and the staff didn't make any problems. We got a room at Coconut Grove (one of the routers is fixed there) and the internet was working perfect.
We stayed on a B&B basis and the breakfasts were delicious with a choice of good Jamaican food and plenty of fresh fruit.
In the evenings the cocktails they serve at the bar were all delicious!
Each cottage has 4 rooms. The rooms are clean and tidy and have everything you may need, though no fridge or kettle (in standard rooms). There were no problems with water/hot water (I heard some resorts and/or hotels do have problems with water there), cable tv, bathrooms with showers.
The staff is very nice - I always forget names so greetings for all!
Negril Scuba dive staff was also very friendly - greetings for Chris and Curtis! They do cliff diving from the resort which is very nice and not too deep - good for beginners. They also do boat diving from their beach located sister resort Mariners Club, and the boat diving is highly recommended as well. One day we met 3 dolphins at Snapper Reef at 18m!
We are definitely going back to Negril in future and definitely will be staying at Negril Resort.
