Some simple changes, and this property could be a real winner.
The grounds are very nice, the hotel is well located. Staff was great. Unit was large, quiet, and well laid out. No complaints whatsoever about any of the fundamentals.
I couldn't give this place more than a 3* rating, though, because I felt the price charged demanded a higher level of refinement then was offered. This is not a luxury apartment, but rather seemed like something that was renovated by well meaning do-it-yourselfers and decorated with second hand bits from their attic. The roof top patio was nice, but needed more furniture (a lounge chair and umbrella would have been nice).
It was comfortable enough and functional, and if they dropped the price by $50, I would call this an excellent value and would have given it a rave review. For $205/night I expected something nicer.
I think the Villas are individually owned, and perhaps individually decorated. Perhaps other units are nicer?
In the end, I was a little let down, but happy enough.
