This was my second trip to Hedo with my boyfriend. This year we stayed for 12 nights. Friends from home went with us for the first five days and then our group we joined last year came in for our last five days.
SEX:
The first week a very "open lifestyles" group was there so there was live porn through out the day on the nude side. This is very annoying, but it's like a train wreck. You can't help but to watch it no matter how repulsed you are, haha. The second week the day was very quiet, but there was sex at night around the hot tub. Be sure to discuss with your partner any and all boundries before you get there. People will ask you to join or swap and you want to make sure you're both on the same page.
ROOMS:
The rooms are not great at all. The beds are HORRIBLE, both of my hips hurt for the first week, because the bed was so hard. There is no cold water in the sink. The mirrors above the hard bed are wonderful. They are installing new A/C in all the rooms. I think we were the only ones who had one that was working right. The unit was wonderful. It was cold and it sounds like an ocean, :). The first night I had to keep looking out the window to see if we were actually on the ocean. Towel situation is weird. We finally got wash cloths on our last day, we had a bath mat two days, and we were only given two bath towels a day.
FOOD:
It's what you make of it. Japanese place is yummy, the salad is to die for. Pastafari is great, but belly aches everytime we ate there. The buffet is wonderul. The weekend nights provide the widest variety of food. Pool grills are decent. Nude grill has grilled cheese and burgers all day and jerk chicken at 4:30. Prude grill, has a large menu all day. The midnight buffet is ok, but normally you're drunk at this point and don't care. However, get it before 2 am, because after that you're stuck with a crappy sandwich from the front desk.
GROUNDS:
Beautiful Tropical and lush. There are trees and flowers all over the place and they're doing a lot to make it even nicer.
GYM:
Excellent gym, by far the best at any resort of hotel I've stayed at.
POOLS:
Nude
Pool is kind of small condsidering that the majority of the people are over there. The cooling pool is great, but hold on to the side because the jets are killer. The hot tub is huge and can either be scalding hot or rather cool. There is also A LOT of chemicals in all nude water for obvious reasons.
Prude
Huge and hardly used. Very peaceful, but right outside of restaurants. It pretty much becomes nude after midnight. The hot tub is tiny and rarely used. It is nice to spend a little while over there to get away from the crazy nude side. Waterslide is awesome it runs during the day and then it starts back up at 11:30pm. It dumps into a pool that is connected to the disco. The goal is to make the biggest splash onto the disco window.
DISCO:
Can be ok after midnight. Great place to people watch.
CATAMARAN CRUISE:
Do it. It is so much fun and the views are incredible.
STAFF:
So, so. Some are great others are not. The bartenders are either super nice or super annoyed. Entertainment staff has changed. Ray Ray was the best and no one can top him. Matthew and Gavin are good tho. Housekeeping is nice and will do a lot for you. Watersports guys are also great and for a tip will give you rides places. The groundskeepers hit on me a lot and it made me uncomfortable. So, as a female either keep your clothes on when you're alone or bring someone with you when you're walking around.
There is a staff member that paints rocks for you to place somewhere on the grounds or to take home with you. I'm not sure of his name, but he'll find you. He'll charge around 20 bucks.
SCUBA:
I don't do it but my friends do. They say it's awesome and it's free. They go everyday they're there.
OTHER NOTES:
If you want drugs, you can find them from almost anyone, literarally.
Brings lots of sunscreen. You'd be surprised how easily you burn.
Bring a large mug or water bottle for drinks.
The gift shop is SUPER expensive. Either buy at the airport or go off the resort to the craft market.
Take the bus. The views are amazing and sad all in one.
Before you go, check the hedonism1 website and find out what is going on when you're going. You want to be sure you're not going during a time that could be uncomfortable for you.
This resort is what you make of it and isn't for everyone. Do a lot of research before you go.

This was the 12th visit to Hedonism 2 for my wife and me. It is always like coming home for a visit. The staff remembers you by name and always welcomes you like a returning family member. The other visitors to the resort are like friends you have not yet met, or others that visit at the same time you do.
The rooms are good and clean and cleaned daily. The food is plentiful and good. there is something for everybody to like.

If you are afraid of the nudity, give it a try. After 5 minutes, you will wonder why you were afraid to give it a try.

We are already planning our 13th trip in April.

When I first booked our (5 ladies) trip to Hedo I was nervous about the nude activity comments that I read. So decided to do a little research on here and was referred to this website "www.DennyP.com" which is detailed info about Hedo for first timers, great info tool and I received some good tips from vet Hedoers. We stayed on the Prude side most of our stay and occasionally saw 1 or 2 folks that were nude and decided to hang over at the Prude side which at first bothered me but after day 2 everyone looked alike dressed or not...lol...one good thing it wasn't all in your face. Our last day there we made our way over to the nude beach and it was a great experience so hard to explain but I felt free and wanted to stay that way.... the only thing I regret is not going over there sooner!

There's one thing I didn't like about Hedo.....and that is how you had a few folks that would walk around the dining area with just there privates covered ......from what I understand as long as there private parts are covered they are allowed to be in that area...Just don't feel that is sanitary, who wants pubic hairs in there food.... I really think Hedo should really rethink that rule.

Room: The room was clean nothing to brag about everything worked the AC, shower, toilet, bed. We had plenty of towels and anything else we needed...I'm a 5-star kind of girl so this hotel serves it's purpose and that's all nothing more....Who hangs in there room anyways...lol...

Food: The food was great never went hungry I'm not a picky eater either so may not be to your liking...the Pastafari restaurant was nice I advice you to go atleast once they have really good food...you have to make reservation so make them before the crowd...It was my 40th B-day so they brought out a whole cake with candles for me which took me by surprise....The service was great reminds me of a 5-star restaurant in the States.

Service: From the housekeepers, to the waiters (Kimmola) to the Entertainment (Abraham, Winston & Matthew) to the ground keepers etc....they were all great! the service is outstanding you will want for nothing they are always there to help out no matter how early or late...No Worries Mon.

Entertainment: We didn't need to leave the resort for fun they have all kinds of activities all day...although the Nude side has most of the activities and since I was on the Prude side most of my stay it was a little boring on the Prude side at times but night life you had Karaoke, or the disco room which played good music and they always have entertainment during dinner, there's always something to do.

As an American, used to the American's w/ Diasabilities Act, I found this place unbelievable - in a bad way - as it pertains to an injured person! The day before our trip, my boyfriend ruptured his achilles. The er doc told us to go ahead on the trip because he couldn't have surgery right away and might as well put his foot up in Jamaica. When we arrived at Hedo I asked about a "handicapped room" - they said they didn't have one. They gave us a wheelchair that constantly veered to the left & pointed us in the direction of the room. And from there it was downhill - literally.
Some of the Issues:
My boyfriend is 6'6", 240 lbs. I am 5'6", 140 lbs. Many a staff person just watched as I struggled to get him up and down hills, or he struggled on his crutches. The staff from the nude side were more attentive, but only for big tip purposes.

When I asked for more help, always the "no problem" response - always the no assistance results.

The day before we left we met a woman who said, "Did they give you guys the Handicapped room. I had it last time I was here." Huh?

Bottom Line:
I would never recommend this joint to anyone. I've never been anywhere w/ out room service - even the roadside motel in the smallest town in Illinois will bring water to your room - especially if you're on crutches!
I just couldn't understand the lack of service...or the ridiculous attitude toward giving a person(s) extra help, who really needed it.
