“Best Service in Jamaica”

I have stayed at some of the best resorts in Jamaica over the years, but none compares favorably with the service I received at Emerald View, a small hotel perched on a hilltop, near Falmouth, Jamaica. The views from every room in this hotel are spectacular! Owner/manager Jennifer, her staff, her father, and her children, provided such a warm ambience and gracious hospitality that I stayed for a month although I had only intended staying for ten days!
The deluxe service began with airport pick up, even though my flight was several hours late, continued with tours of the island, trips to the beaches, to Montego Bay, to the shopping center, and even to the stadium to see the opening ceremonies for World Cup cricket! Anywhere, anytime, Jennifer or her driver provided taxi service for a nominal fee.
As I walked into the lobby, I felt like I was being welcomed into Jennifer's home, and indeed this establishment is first and foremost, her home! The public rooms are beautifully decorated, with bright splashes of color, Jamaican art, and couches that beckon you to sit and take the load off. My room, overlooking the front of the property was spacious, well appointed(Cable tv, a/c, wicker furnitire), and afforded me a view of the ocean from my balcony. Everything was spotlessly clean.
During my stay, I took advantage of the cook's vaunted expertise, and ordered delicious Jamaican style meals in the dining room every day. (Big up Miss Peggy!)
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants an idyllic experience off the beaten track in Jamaica, and an incomparable warm service, all at a moderate price.

Stayed at the Emerald View for a week in April '07. Turns out I was the only guest!

Stayed in what I think was the largest suite with the veranda overlooking the hills about out to the water - beautiful!

Food was delicious - Miss Peggy knows her cooking - ackee & saltfish for breakfast, rice n' peas, snapper other delicious dishes.

If you go to to beach, try and get to Time n' Place - a totally laid back beach with a great little restaurant. Tony (The owner) is a nice fellow.

Thanks to other TA reviews, I knew what to expect and had no problem with the additional charges for travel - actually ended up being cheaper than going by taxi.

We enjoyed a relaxing vacation @ Emerald View Resort Villa in Montego Bay, Greenwood, Jamaica. We arrived just after the annual Blues Festival in February 2007. The staff was very friendly, accommodating, and the breakfast/dinners we ate were very, very delicious too. We ate authentic jamaican meals and enjoyed each experience. The view @ Emerald View Resort Villa was just as described on their website. Picture perfect vacation away from the hustle and bustle.......the hotel room rate was reasonable. Our room was spacious. We enjoyed the view from our balcony too! Wonderful hospitality.

We had a great time in Jamaica visiting for the Jazz and Blues Festival. Our stay in Jamaica was a real Jamaican lifestyle experience which was solidified by us staying at the Emerald View Resort Villa. A very modern facility featuring large clean and comfortable rooms with real Jamaican hospitality. The scenery from the villa is breathtaking and the food is excellent. The meals are also very inexpensive. The staff is very warm and go out of their way to make you comfortable. I would definitely stay there again and will recommend the villa to all our friends for a true authentic Jamaican style experience.

I enjoyed my 2nd stay at the Emerald View. I visited in September 2006 and returned again for Christmas through New Years. The staff is wonderful & accomodating. I like the family oriented hospitality. It is a place of relaxation and refuge. I plan to visit again in March 2007. Jennifer is a "GEM". I highly recommend this property.
