i stayed at this hotel twice. once in january of 2006 and again in July. the first time was not too bad aside from the nosey security guard. the rooms were cleaned when we asked and although its far from a luxary hotel i liked it because it was clean and close to the beach and the nightclubs.

the second time i went i had a horrible stay. the women at the fron desk were rude from the first minute we arrived. after tryring to overcharge us for our room they put us in a different room on the top floor because they had people staying in the room we had already paid for. after lugging up our luggage u to the top floor in the rain while thestaff watched we had to drag our bags back down the next day to the room we had orginally booked

the staff was rude to me and my two friends during our entire stay. when our friends and family would call and ask to be transferred to our room they lied and said we were not acepting calls, they tried to limit the guests we had in our room and the cleaning lady just stopped comming in the middle of our stay, and these are only a few of my compliants.

although this place is cheap and is located right in the middle of the strip. i will never stay there again.

I have visited Jamaica over 25 times and the Caribic House is where I stay when I travel alone. The employees are very friendly and can be called on to help you whenever they can. Granted, there are more fabulous hotels, but I feel a lot more comfortable at the Caribic.

Admittedly very cheap accomodation, and you get what you pay for, but would not stay there again , room basic but clean apart from the air conditioning unit which was very dusty, cleaners were friendly but not the reception staff, advise check bill when paying as we were overcharged, for room and the security box

Just turned up and booked in. At $50 a night, it seemed to be the cheapest option in town. The all-inclusives were about three times as much and then you're tied to your hotel.

Rooms basic but with en suite and cable TV. Staff very Jamaican - friendly and helpful.

A great budget option bang in the centre of Mobay, just back from the beach.

Also recommend Sean if you want someone reliable to drive you round the island: 583-6190 (reception will be able to find him for you). He's been doing it for years, can suggest places to go and is a safe driver (in a country of deranged ones).
