The Knutsford Court is a moderately priced hotel in New Kingston, serving mostly business travellers and some... um, optimistic (OK, deluded) tourists. Deluded because there's nothing touristy in the vicinity.
The rooms are, as others have pointed out, in need of updating. The carpet especially looks like it's seen better days. My room was otherwise clean, though, and the bathroom quite comfortable. No problems with water temperature or pressure, though the towels were indeed very small. There is no elevator to the 2nd floor of the wing we stayed in, and when we inquired about changing rooms - we had equipment that we needed to store every night - we were told that ground-floor rooms were more expensive. The hotel did provide storage in the office area, though.
The hotel in general -- lobby, dining room, grounds (including a pool and a lovely courtyard) -- is in much better condition than the rooms. The continental breakfast (included in the price) is adequate, and à la carte breakfast options are also available.
Disappointingly, internet access is US$10 a day. There is wireless in the lobby, courtyard and dining room, and rickety ethernet connections in the rooms. Mine worked intermittently - I had to keep re-connecting the cable. If you're going to charge, surely you can afford to install wireless throughout the hotel. There is also a business centre in the lobby area, where internet access is $2 for 15 minutes.
On the positive side, the staff were universally friendly and helpful. No complaints at all there.
For US$105 a night - plus $10 for internet - it's not a bad deal. But it could be a lot better.
