“A memorable anniversary break”

LTI Beach Resort Punta Cana

What a fab place to stay for a special occasion!

We stayed at the LTI in October 2007 and would return in a flash.

Our favourite part of the hotel, other than the glorious beach, was the lobby. What a breath-taking entrance. In the evenings, after our dinner and before our moon-lite walk along the beach, we would sit in the lobby on the HUGE comfortable sofas with a 'Cafe con leche' and relax and soak up the atmosphere.

Days were spent lounging between the pool and the white sandy beach!

The pool bar El Torro was really convenient to go and grab a couple of cocktails to take back to the beach.

The Room:

Clean and functional. The mini bar was stocked daily with 2 small bottles of Sprite and Coke. Also 1 litre bottles of water. The TV was temperamental (Although we only found this out in the last 2 days of our holiday when we suffered the backlash of a hurricane!) The air-conditioning was a god send although ours decided to leak water during the night on numerous occasions, waking us up and having to get reception to get cleaners to come an mop up!(There was a lot of water!)

The bathroom was a good size with a very powerful shower (I remember this as it killed with sunburn!) The one strange thing about the bathroom was the door which had a glass pane in the middle of it so you could see out, but more worryingly people could see in! Although the loo was to the right of this door. (You could still see someone using it easily though!)

The Food:

The main food hall was amazing. Breakfast gave you the choice of:
Hot drinks, porridge, Fresh bread (all types), many different cereals, fruit galore, Cheese, smoothies, juices, cooked breakfast items, freshly made to order omelette's with your choice of filling, crepes, pancakes, Croissants, etc etc.

Lunch:
Pizzas, Chips, Salad, Fruit, fish dishes, chicken, soup, potatoes, pasta, all types of meat, deserts, fruit juices, smoothies.

Dinner:
Soups, breads, potatoes, freshly made pasta dishes to order, fish counter, Meat counter, Chinese made to order counter (my favourite), deserts etc.

El Toro - The Beach Bar - Offered a buffet of hot and cold foods at lunchtime and also had an all day grill which offered Burgers, Hot Dogs, Chicken pieces and chips.

The Pizza House (Can't remember the name) - BOOK INTO HERE BY THE MAIN RESTAURANT COMPLEX BETWEEN 9am & 10:30am OTHERWISE YOU WONT GET IN! THERE IS NO WAY YOU CAN GET IN WITHOUT A RESERVATION TICKET!
You were able to eat here once a week (although when we went it was very quiet and were able to eat there 4 times in 2 weeks!) This was a buffet style restaurant with lasagne, bread, salad, soup and starters available. You are then given a menu from which to choose your desired Pizza or Calzone.

Drinks are on tap no matter where you go in the complex and their days out are very well organised!

Overall, this is a child friendly, honeymoon friendly, group friendly place in which to holiday!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

My girlfriend and I just returned from the warmth of Punta Cana, We stayed at the LTI resort and Beach club in Punta Cana. I will get right to the point, the rooms are definately nothing to write home about, there were parts of the ceiling missing, cracks in the tile shower, the TV rarely worked and it you attempted to fix it you received a shock. Somehow a lizzard became a roommate of ours, it didnt cause problems but Ive never had one in my room before. Another thing I found odd is that they come to fumigate your room during your stay at least once, although you may be tempted to tell them to wait, I was surprised at the dead bugs I found in the room before the maid had a chance to clean them up after fumigation.

That part aside the resort itself is very nice, very lush with big beautiful trees, shrubs etc. all throughout the ground, The pool is great, the beach is awesome, there are plenty of chairs but if you want one under a hut get up early, they are the first to go.

The food end was average, although we never did try the a-la-carte' resturants which are included, the buffett offers something for everyones taste 3 times a day. Drinks are awesome, there is a wide variety and the beer is very good.

One thing I would say was a draw back for sure would be the folks from the Ceyna Beach club, which shares the main resort grounds with the LTI. They set up at the only entrance to the Buffet dining area and are quite pushy to entice you to visit the resort. Basically similar to timeshare things at other resorts but these guys harp you 3 times a day, every day. I had one guy literally chase after me one day because the night before I made the mistake of saying "maybe tomorrow". Tell them NO and keep walking, they should get the point after a couple days.

If you are looking for a place with other Canadians presesnt there, this may not be the one for you. Lots, and lots of German people, many other Europeans. A little different when you are used to mexico.

Overall, the 4 star rating this hotel has would be accurate in my opinion. We had a wonderfull time and for the price we paid, we got more than our moneys worth.

We have just returned from a week at the Cayena Golf CLub at LTI in Punta Cana.

The Hotel is like an apartament building, some of the people that lives there are owners, the Hotel is so beautifull, the apartaments are confortables, and the people that work there are so nice. The Hotel has a pool and a jacussi inside, but you can use all the rest big pools in th LTI.

The apartaments has kitchen, 2 bed rooms each one with bathroom (hot water), air conditioning, TV place, dinner plus a guest toilet

If you take the all incluisive package, you can use all the instalations on the LTI Punta Cana.

The Cayena Golf Hotel has a pemanent service of Golf Car to take you to the LTI Punta Cana, near to the beach. If you decide to walk, the beach is is 10 minutes walk away from the beach.

They have a Gym (free), SPA (pay) and Doctor Place (pay)

The food was so nice, in some restaurants (there are many) you have to do a reservation, and plus you have snack (hamburgers, hot dogs, etc) all day, drinks included and a Disco.

In the pool you can make a Diving test with real equipment.

All nigths they have a Show and all nigths was something diferent and so professional.

If you like peace, nature, beach and relax, this is your Hotel.

Maybe for some people, the distance to the beach and the golf cars transpostation is aproblem, but for us was one of the things we loved more.... an If you like to walk there is nothing to care for.

“Loved the Beach”

LTI Beach Resort Punta Cana

A group of 6 of us stayed at the LTI the last week in March. Range of ages from mid-20's to mid-40's from Calgary and Fort St John BC and we all really enjoyed the LTI resort and Punta Cana!

Our rooms were clean and everything worked. No mold or bugs noticed. The bathrooms were a bit strange with the window in the door but ok as the toilet was off to one side.

The grounds and pool were very well kept and there were always people working on them all through the day. We didn't spend much time at the pool as we were always on the beach. I had though there was going to be a swim-up bar but supposedly that is only for Cayena Beach members so we couldn't use it although we never actually even seen it. Since we were always on the beach it didn't matter anyway. We had brought insulated mugs so they kept our slushy drinks nice and cold while we basked in the sun!

I thought the food was good in the main buffet. Everything I had was cooked and quite tasty. I did tend to use the omelet bar and pasta bar the most as then you can be assured of fresh food. We all enjoyed the pizza at the Italian a la carte restaurant and went back several times in our 1 week stay. They even let us in one night when we didn't have reservations.

The beach was definately the highlight with beautiful white sand (like talcum powder) that extended all the way out into the swimming area. We spent the majority of our time on the beach or playing in the waves.

I found the staff very friendly and the only ones I found a bit short were the ones working at the front desk. Everyone else was more than willing to say hola and smile.

The market down the beach was a great source of bartering and we went back several times - it was located on the other side of the Ocean Sands resort which was next to LTI. I had my hairbraided at the end closest to LTI and they shared cold beer with me the entire time as it was one of the girl's birthday.

We liked the LTI resort as it was small and we could easily split up our group and then meet up later on the beach. We heard several people on our flight home complain that their resorts were too big and they were difficult to get around. Having walked up and down the beach, I would say LTI has one of the nicest beach areas. I would definately recommend LTI to others.

We have just returned our holiday in dominican republic ,which was to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had a terrrible experience as after 2 days my wife wanted to come home.
We had an upgraded ocean view superior room, and what we got was restricted view with no privacy, so after a couple of days we aked the rep to be moved. We finally moved to the EXELLENCE HOTEL at our own expense and it was superb and would recommend.
Food at the hotel was variable and sometimes looked uncooked or not very appertizing.Rooms basic and looked tired and on some days rooms not cleaned properly and the bedding was'nt changed .
In our opionion this hotel is not 4* hotel
