This is a small hotel located across the street from the beach (limited ocean view, from 3 rooms at the front of the property). We were moved to this hotel after the one we originally planned to stay at was overbooked, so we got a bit of a deal on the rate.
Room: the room was fairly clean but a bit dated. The kitchenette was on the smaller side but had most of the utensils, etc that we required. The bed was actually two singles put together. We stayed at the front of the property (room 201) so our balcony had a bit of a view of the ocean.
The room was cleaned well each day. The shower left something to be desired, we had to remove the nozzle to get any real H20 flow......
Outside well-kept.
Pool: nice little pool with a bar (Mike's) right there. The area was pretty empty throughout the day.
Staff: the greatest asset of this property, Robert and Shelley (and others!) were so friendly and great at helping us with whatever we needed, more than happy to find us directions, activities and restaurants.
Location: across from beach
- walking distance to St. Lawrence Gap, supermarket, car rentals, Rockley beach, some shopping
Pros: good location, clean room, good rate, GREAT STAFF
Cons: street noise at night (front of hotel is on very busy road), poor pressure in shower.
A con in general re: Barbados is that not much is open past 5 pm, so some of the evenings can be a bit dull if you're not interested in drinking every night..........
Overall: not bad for the price, most people aren't really spending too much time in their hotels while in Barbados anyways
