Wont break your budget!
This place looks a little better in the pictures than it really is. However, we enjoyed our stay and didnt mind it at all for the price. There is no hot tub, though. That was a big deal to the hubby!FYI! Staff was friendly and helpful.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Not to bad of a drive from Disneyland, like 10 min.

Disappointed
The hotel website can set one up with a wrong expectation. I would categorize to be a two-star hotel. With the high rate I paid, I would expect great service which I did not get. If one just needs an overnight stay, that would be fine. Otherwise, it is not comfy for multi-day stay. It does not have hair dryer in the room. There is no laundry onsite. We had to go to the laundromat across the street, and I got our nice clothes stolen when we left them unattended for only 5 min.

Would stay here again
My girlfriend and I stayed here for one night. I would have to say that overall its a great place, specially for the price. Loved the decor. The room was very large including a kitchen will full-size fridge. Definitely not your typical hotel room. The staff seemed friendly and accommodating. Two complaints: the walls are paper thin and there seemed to be some weird smell in the room. It smelled almost like bug-spray, RAID.

Clean, But Not Great
There were both positives and negatives about our stay at the Hotel Peppertree. On the positive side, the hotel was clean and the decor cute. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, even giving us the hotels "frequent shopper number" for discounts at the local grocery store. The location was nice, about halfway between Disney and Knotts, with a grocery store right across the street. There were some negatives about our stay. First, it was clear that this is an older hotel. There was considerable noise from the hall and other rooms and you could hear everyones comings and goings. The shower head was VERY low (only the 55" person in our group could fit under it). Although there were dishes, there was definately not enough for 4 people, so we had to get creative, especially with cups. Lastly, our room had an unusual smell, that no one could figure out what it was. The breakfast was very basic (toast, cereal and juice) and they do not allow carry outs. Overall, not a bad hotel, but there were some drawbacks.

Not impressed
The staff was helpful, but the rooms were misty and dusty. Breakfast was totally forgettable.

Excellent budget hotel
The staff are pleasant and friendly. The rooms, common areas, and grounds are sparkling clean and neatly kept. The pool is nice. Did I mention the staff is friendly and fun? Its a great place to stay and we would stay there again.
They are great with kids and really cater to families. They even take pets!

not going there again!!!!
When we got to the hotel we noticed that they dont have air conditioning in the hallways. Then in the room it has a wall air conditioner that was loud. The tub was clogged up. The pool wasnt opened all hours. The continental breakfast was nasty cheap donuts. 2 kinds offered. And pretty much 4 kinds of cereal.

Good Purchase
This was a good buy for a family with kids. The hotel was located a short drive away from Disneyland and there were several convenience stores close by. The hotel staff was very nice and acommodating. Would consider staying there again.

great to have a kitchen
easy to get to disneyland & great to have a kitchen with a grocery store right across the street. Shower could use a little updating, but the room was clean & the bed was comfortable.

Excellent Hotel
Hotel staff and service was very helpful and friendly. Great location for my vacation needs. Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of nice restaurants and activities in the area. There was a grocery store, coin laundry and bank right across the street. The hotel is very close to Disneyland and Knottsberry Farms. Everyroom has a patio area so you can enjoy a meal outside in the great weather if desired. Hotel has a computer in comfortable lobby if needed.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Disneyland, Knottsberry Farms, Huntington Beach. A quick 30 min. to 1 hr. drive will get you to Hollywood, Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica beach, Longbeach.

Great Value
We picked this hotel for the amount of space we were able to get for the cost (800sqft)-it was basically two full motel rooms with a full kitchen and two bathrooms. Its an easy 10 minute drive to the Disney Parking garage, and a grocery store right across the street. The onsite restaurant was pretty basic, and was where the free continental breakfast was served. Since we had a full kitchen and two small children, however, we made breakfast in our room every day before heading to the park. We also picked up dinner on our way home and ate in our room. Others in our group did complain of street noise, but we had brought a fan that helped with that. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Would stay here again-great value!

Would highly recommend for families. Large room with very comfortable queen beds w/small living area in front of beds and a very complete kitchenette w/full size fridge. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Although this is an older hotel it has a cozy atmosphere w/stone floors, plants & fountains.
Continental breakfast (cereal, pastries, fruit, etc.) however for nominal fee can purchase hot meal. The Mexican restuarant located in parking area had authentic tasty & reasonably priced food, w/discount for hotel stay. Although no shuttle to Disneyland, you do not have to pay for parking to stay at your hotel. There is a Ralphs supermarket & a Wells Fargo across the street for food & money needs. A crib can be reserved for room, however again a fee per night.

Great value for the price
We stayed a week and found this an outstanding hotel for the money. The staff was friendly and courteous, even printing out occasional maps when needed. The rooms were very good and functional as a base from which to see greater LA. VERY convenient to Huntington Beach, Disney and Knotts. Close to major freeways to get back and forth to LA.
Traveler's tip on shopping
Ralphs across Lincoln Avenue for groceries and a great Mexican bakery in the shopping center across the street.

Great place to stay
Nice Hotel, comfortable beds. Little bit noisey in the early mornings, but probably due to people having to be somehwhere. Nice having the kitchens. Would definetly stay there again.

Average at best
Im not sure why this hotel got high reviews from others but I just stayed here for a week and this hotel was the only negative part of the entire trip. Expedia recommended this hotel because I wanted 2 queen sized beds, free breakfast and free parking. This hotel had these features in a strictly nominal sense. The only reasons I gave Pepper Tree more than 1 star is that it was somewhat convenient to the highway and Disneyland and the staff was relatively helpful. On the downside, the room itself looked/felt a little sad and the hotel overall had many demerits. There were flaking walls in the shower, dirty towels, broken freezer, and an unclean coffee maker. The scent of gas was in the room every so often every day and the staff sort of shrugged it off when I reported it. The internet in the lobby worked sporadically and slowly (glad I didnt pay for the wireless access). There was LOTS of street noise even though the staff claimed that with double insulated glass its not that bad...it was. The restaurant, Aztecas, offered a free "breakfast" that only the third world would be content with - really awful - subsequently we ate there only on the first morning. On some nights Aztecas had karaoke with a live band...that kept us awake. The beds were too soft, the curtains were broken. The noise from the adjoining rooms was clear and loud. The maids slammed doors every morning. Next time, well choose a name brand hotel instead of a bargain that isnt.

Pleasantly Surprised!!
Our room reminded us of the hotels we have stayed in during our trips to Oaxaca Mexico. Same wonderful ambience, (except for the movie posters in the halls.) Beds were very comfortable, Room was very clean, bathroom was very clean, fresh towels provided daily. Had a wonderful little kitchenette if needed. The price was great, and we would stay there again. Hotel is about a 5 minute drive to Disneyland and the Anaheim Convention center. Continental Breakfast came with the room, served in the restaurant next door.

Our Stay at the pepper tree
Our stay was very nice. It wasnt quite as good as it looked in the picture. The room was clean and having a full kitchen was amazing. The only two things that we didnt like was that none of the cabinet doors closed all the way. This was mostly just annoying cuz the hinges werent installed correctly. the other thing was the hole in the wall behind the telephone let a cockroach into our room. that was not pleasant at all. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. They staff was very helpful in getting us the things we wanted that made our stay comfortable.

Very quiet, relaxing hotel
This place is great for the price. You get a full kitchen to use (dishes, toaster over, frig, mic, stove, dish soap, sponge, paper towels, etc) everything you need to clean up and its across the street from a Ralphs. Big closet and I like the fact that there is a vanity outside the bathroom so you dont have to wait to have access to the bathroom mirror. Very relaxing and quiet. Its like being in your own one bedroom apartment.

Loved the beds and the friendly staff
After reading all the reviews we decided to stay here. Me and my sister loved the grocery store across the street for the kids. The staff was mamzing and helpful and the staff when we got there helped us get all our bags inside and made sure we were okay and the room was okay before we stayed. I am staying there again in a couple of weeks..its now the place i chose to stay when going to Disneyland
The floor can be very slippery after a shower due to the tile floors so be careful with small children even I almost fell a couple of times. Also there is no shuttle to the park.

Great Value, Friendly Staff.
I read a lot of reviews before deciding to stay here. We have 3 kids (10, 3, and 2) so the kitchen was a big plus for us. In of the bathroom, water pressure was great. It seemed like the hot water got really hot intermittently. In the vanity area there was a full size closet with double mirror doors. The vanity area has no outlets. Also, the vanity area is separate from the room itself. Bed wise, there are regular and feather pillows. 4 on each bed. Beds were comfortable and there were extra blankets in the closets. No alarm clock though. There is Terra Cotta tile in the kitchen and bathroom, entry way and vanity. The tile steps up about an inch from the carpet and my kids constantly wiped out on it. My only real complaint, which is really important if you have kids, is that there was no top latch for the door to lock. It had the handle that you could pull down and the deadbolt would unlock itself when you pulled the handle. We had to stack stuff in front of the door to keep the kids from opening the door. The elevator is a bit old, and it does not have the automatic door opening that newer ones do. You have to hit the black part in the middle to get it to open. Be careful, especially with the kids.
Prepare to create an obstacle that your kids cant get around to make sure they dont try to open the door. Watch your kids around the elevator.

Great low budget hotel
I was nervous about booking this hotel, as i was responsible for my whole familys comfort, but we were all pleasantly surprised. The rooms were quirky but very clean and comfortable and had plenty of space. It was a very short drive to Disneyland and was in a convenient location on a busy street. We especially enjoyed the In-N-Out Burger around the corner :-) The staff was very helpful and accomodating. The continental breakfast was nothing great but it was convenient and quick. It was a great way to save a few dollars on what can be a very expensive trip to Disneyland.

Great hotel near Disneyland
Great place to stay - especially for a family. Theres a small kitchen with a full size fridge. The room was very spacious and the staff is very helpful. I will definitely stay at Pepper Tree next time Im in Anaheim. Great location - its only 1 exit away from Disneyland and theres banks and stores nearby.
