very modern clean rooms, nice decor, great mirrors in bathroon, flat screen tv, very roomy!

Not impressed
Hotel was having union problems with all employees, needless to say we didn’t get good service, the bar and resturant were closed. I think we should have been told about in advance!

Very good location - close to both subways and old town, etc. Excellent hotel service - the kind that almost never is anymore!

Great city, Great pool
We had a wonderful stay at the Bonaventure. It is in a great location. The pool was perfect. We literally swam in it morning noon and night. The recently remodelled rooms were quite comfortable.

Room contained rollaway bed, on bottom floor, dark, and noisy. Would certainly not go back.

Old hotel, but not in Old Town
Aside from the rooftop pool, this hotel had nothing to offer. Old, outdated style. Dirty carpets in room. Dark long winding hallways. Slow elevators. One could certainly do better elsewhere.

Didn’t get to see any UFOs but ...
would stay at this hotel again in a heartbeat. The UFO sighting mentioned in our guidebook did not reoccur, but the heated pool and landscaped gardens outside our door were spectacular. The location just across the street from the Gare Central is very convenient, except we kept getting lost in the vast maze of the underground shopping areas! Ask at the concierge desk for a map.
Traveler's tip on dining
Definitely check out Carlos & Pepe’s restaurant on nearby Peel Street (at Ste. Catherine). Service and food were excellent and incredibly reasonably priced.
