Hi, going to Gold Dust West for 2 nights at end of July on a YMT tour. Just called this hotel to get an update on their rooms and casino, as some of the past reviews have not been kind.

Here is an update, they are under new managerment,

all new beds, rooms have been renovated, air conditioning works in all rooms. Rooms are quiet, no more smoke smell from Casino into the Rooms. I as able to speak to two lovely ladies there, Linda and Liz, they were very accomodating, kind and friendly, So don't over look this hotel and Casino in your plans,

I will be writing a diary of our trip upon our return and you can email at this site if you wish to receive a copy of it, I will also update all the sites we will be staying at overnight for all the regular readers as well.

Remember one bad review does not make a place off limits. Lots of the """Big High Rollers" expect every hotel to look like the Bellagio in LV.

Clean, comfortable, friendly is all anyone really needs, besides all you are going to do there is sleep, let's all get to the Casino and have some fun. that's what we are really there to do
