Disneyland magic mornings |
|
Travelling to California in 3 days and just checking opening times of theme parks while we are there. Have found out that Disneyland opens at 8:00, therefore on the early entry days we'll be able to enter at 7:00. Do many people take advantage of this early time. I suspect I know the answer to this, but just wondering if anyone out there is in the know. We did get to Universal Studios in Orlando at 7 when we last visited there and the first hour or so was very quiet, hoping it will be the same in Anaheim. Thanks lesley |

I don't know how many people go for it, but it is only available to people with multi-day passports with that bonus Magic Morning (early entry) day and those staying at the Disney owned hotels (unless that changed). The entire park doesn't open early, just Main Street, Fantasyland, and some rides in Tomorrowland. As I understand it regular guests cannot enter the park until regular opening time, so it should be much nicer before 8 a.m.

Yup, it's always quieter in the morning. Go early and take advantage if you can. You probably won't see a lot of foot traffic until 9ish.

Hi! We were just at Disneyland the last three days and we took advantage of the magic morning hour yesterday (thursday, 7/17). We entered at the Downtown Disney side and were first in line with another family at 6:30am! It was our first time at Disneyland and was surprised that there were not more people waiting with us, so I thought.. . When we were allowed into the area to where the turnstiles were, many more people were entering from the opposite side. We were able to ride space mtn, Buzz Lightyear, Matterhorn and star tours during the first hour. It was great! Have a great time!

Thanks everyone for your replies. Getting really excited now about our holiday. Going for just over 3 weeks landing at San Francisco, touring and ending up in Anaheim. Its been 4 years since we visited WDW in Florida and looking forward to seeing the original! Not looking forward to the long flight (11 hours) but can't wait for the rest of our hols. lesley

We did a regular entry on Monday of last week, and a magic morning at 7:30 on Tuesday. I think Tuesday was actually more crowded early because of it. If you bother to go early get there right at 7. Either way traffic was light on most rides both days with the exception of the Nemo submarines. We walked right on to Pirates, Haunted Mansion etc.. as late as 11 A.M. on Monday.

Is Morning Madness only for people with Park Hopper tickets? I know I get 1 Mornign Madness with my 8 day pass. Do you get more Morning Madness with a Deluxe Annual passport? If we do then I guess it would be better to go for the deluxe ticket.

AP's get no early entries unless they are staying on property. Anyone staying on property gets all early entries offered during their stay.
