Hi,

I am travelling by car from Pisa to San Gimignano at the end of the month. I was hoping to visit some wineries on the way down and do some wine tastings. Does anyone know of any that you can either just drop into or book in advance. I would be willing to drive a little out of the way but would something on the route from Pisa to San G would be perfect.

Also i've heard a bit about Verazzanno and Vignamaggio and was wondering how long it would take to drive from San G to them as we may do that on another day.

Thanks so much.

You could try winetasting here:

Podere La Chiesa situated at Terriciola in the Province of Pisa.

Travelling from Pisa to San Gimigniano you need about 50 mins by car and then from there to San Gimigniano about 30-35 mins.

Or you could go to the Cantine of Andrea Bocelli situated at La Sterza, about a 10 min drive from this last cantine.

Ciao!

Thank you so much for that information. If anyone else has names of vineyards in that area please post.
