I will be in Florence in mid February 2009 and was hoping you could help me out with my hotel selection. I am deciding between the Berchielli, Atlantic Palace, Laurus, Baglioni, Piere and the Degli Orafi. Which would you say is the best and why? I am looking for the best overall hotel based on location, quality, siza and price. Thanks!

Hello earlstl.

Last January We stayed in Florence and we located in :"Alexander hotel", 4 stars.

It was 15 minutes of centre Florence, but with bus stopèd one block of hotel.

The rooms were clean and tidy flat screen TV's. The bathrooms were very clean and modern, with good shower, etc.. The hotel breakfast buffet had to offer a good selection, and in general the hotel was well led, with helpful staff.

I suggest it.

I regularly visit Florence on business. Try the Il Perseo. It is good value for money, location 2 minutes from Duomo and staff and Owners fantastic. Stayed there three times this year.
