If you have one day or fifty days in Tuscany, you must do this tour! Nathalie Panozzo takes you on a wonderful tour of a beautiful countryside that is well worth your money and time. We spent three weeks in Italy and visited 16 cities and, by far, our most favorite part of the trip was our private tour of Tuscany and the Chianti Classico Road between Florence and Siena with Nathalie. Nathalie was knowledgeable about the region as well as the wines, and she entertained us with stories of the area's captivating history. She plans a perfect one-day itinerary to tour the region, visit castles, sample local wines, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salami and cheese, have a delectable lunch in charming Siena, and of course, take many picture-perfect photos. The scenery and the fare do much to advertise themselves, but Nathalie makes the experience so much more memorable. Don't miss an opportunity to do this tour when you visit Italy!! You can reach Nathalie by email at natintuscany@hotmail.com.

Amazing, 16 cities in 3 weeks and this stretch of road is the only experience you write about along with an email address.

Maybe you should write a trip report!

Besides, I believe she broke her foot, at least that's what she told me when she canceled our tour in two weeks. You were quite lucky!

Here is an alternative for you. We just two weeks ago spent an amazingly wonderful day with Giovanni Sirabella of Sunflower Tours who took us on a full day tour of the Tuscany countryside and the Chianti wine country. We went to Siena, San Gimigmano,Montegrigioni (11th century castle city), Castellini in Chianti Gaiole in Chianti. Thought we booked and paid for a seven hour day, I am sure we were with him nine hours. He has a fantastic wealth of knowledge about everything, and speaks perfect English. He drives a comfortable air conditioned nine passenger van. We were on a spectacular 16 day trip that included 7 days of cruising, and we all five agreed that the day we spent with him was the highlight of our trip.

We just got back from a 2 week trip to Italy and the highlight of OUR trip was our private tour of Tuscany. Luca Garrapa of hillsandroads.com picked us up at our hotel in Siena, took us to see the kinds of sites we were most interested in and dropped us off at our hotel in Florence for a very reasonable price. His knowledge and love of the area are both deep and broad, and his low key style is very comfortable. His English and driving skills are both excellent and the van was brand new.

Hi Johnrd216,

I wouldn't worry about your tour in July. My tour was scheduled for June 13th and Nathalie canceled on me about 3 weeks ago(?) she didn't think she would be ready by then. I posted on this a while back and got really good alternative suggestions and everyone I contacted were friendly and helpful. In the end, I was able to book a tour through Susanna and we are really looking forward to it!

Good luck!

I would second the recommendation for Luca Garrapa. We did a one day tour with him (3 couples). Picked up in Florence, dropped off at Montecatini Terme. Definitely low-key style, very open to letting you design your own itinerary & the van was very comfortable. Again, like everyone seems to say, a private day tour of Tuscany is one of the highlights of a trip to Italy!

What about a Joinable tour?

I am planning on getting in on joinable one with Rebecca tuscan-wine-tours and the price seems reasonable for my budget.

I am looking forward to it.
