hi all, my son (age 12) and I will be travelling to Italy in a couple of weeks time (flying in and out of Bergamo). We have 6 nights, two of which will be spent in Venice. For the remaining time we would like to relax in the mountains and in my searches Pinzolo looks came up as a good candidate for that. Is that true in your experience?

I will not rent a car for this stay - how easy is Pinzolo to reach? Could you recommend any beautiful places to stay or any alternatives? Many thanks.

Hi

Pinzolo is located in the Brenta group and is a great place, but you have a bit of a travel to get there by train and bus.

If you are flying back out of Bergamo it would not be a great choice because you would again face a long travel day to get to Bergamo.

If you want ease of location and plenty of activities I find Bolzano a great place to stay for a few days and you can have the best of both the mountains and culture.

If you are looking just to relax and walk around a bit, Asiago is good place.

there is a lot of British history from the Great War in the area.

It really depends on what you wish to do and how active you and your son are.
